Rhykker
GameFront.com posted an article on SWTOR's PvP. It's pretty long, but it analyzes the most important problems facing PvP and proposes some solutions to improve the PvP experience. Some of these solutions are things I've seen suggested on these forums. Excerpt: Because of [the state of lv 50 Warzones], some level 49 players deliberately remain within the 10-49 bracket by leaving Warzones early to avoid earning XP and leveling up. That bears repeating. Some players are deliberately halting the advancement of their characters in order to better enjoy the game. That’s absurd — the strongest driving force of any MMO is character progression. There is something fundamentally wrong with the system if a player feels that further character progression will be detrimental to his enjoyment of the game. If you could change one thing about SWTOR's PvP, what would it be?

copasetic
I can't read the article now but that excerpt isn't the best example to use. The majority of players that are doing that and staying in the 10-49 bracket are most likely bad PvP players that simply don't want to have to grind for their PvP gear even though Bioware just made it far easier to get both Centurion and Champion gear. If they are as good at PvP as they think they are, they would bite the bullet and grind their Centurion/Champ pieces and hit Valor Rank 60 like everyone else. And before anyone whines about it, Battlemaster gear won't suddenly turn you into a PvP god that is unkillable. The stat differences from full Champion to full Battlemaster are very small and won't be the difference between who wins in a fight. A bad player that gets Battlemaster gear due to lucky RNG will still be bad. Skill makes a player good, not his gear.

Bluetickone
The biggest problem with STWOR is the shear ammount of CCs. As a healer I would add the number of interrupts plus CCs, its overwhelming.
Molekylen
The amount of CCs and push back-effects is just stupid. The enemy team has litteraly played tennis with me with all the push backs.

I can't wait to try this out in GW2; I wish SWTOR would have a similar system. Maybe it isn't too late?
Masahiko
The biggest problem with STWOR is the shear ammount of CCs. The CCs are not the problem as much as the anti CC mechanic which doesnt work. Even in DAoC, a game they have full access to which has longer and more CC has a better CC protection. I hope it would be possible to do something like that also in SWTOR. It is an interesting and original idea. Right now, SWTOR pvp is just some kind of copy of WOW pvp. MPagano
Depends on if we are talking about class balance or pvp as a whole Class balance: Give Operatives buffs so they have a reason to be used over other classes. PvP: Let us choose our WZs Faction balance needs fixed more urgently than class balance. Choosing WZs will only fragment the pool of players generating the queues. Until faction imbalance and Ilum's design are resolved, the other issues won't make a difference.
