If we do manage to get an op's group running, within 5 mins imperials have one twice the size. I figured the only way for me to do the daily was to collect crates- but the second I get to the central assault area it alerts the whole map, and there's imps swarming over me within minutes. At the time I'm writing this there's 6 republic players in Ilum, and I've seen at least 15 imps. So, other repubs - what's your secret?
Karthaugh Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 well, i either do them at midday, when theres a fair amount of repub and an ops or 2, and just tag as much as i can(kinetic combat shadow here) or later at night myself and another guildie(infil shadow) pull imps of central assault burst them/restealth. sometime we have a scoundrel with us, sometimes a vanguard, sometimes both. Have been able to do the weekly/daily consistently like this, but only cause i can play fairly late. Normally at 3-5pm they are feasible in my server by being in an op, until the zerg crushes us, otherwise, guerrilla tactics as above(which, by the way, are a hell of a lot more fun)

PersivaI Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 In Ahto City, Illum daily / weekly is easy more or less. Usually the weekly is finished in the same day, it takes approx. 1 hour. Imps are much more than us and most iof the times the battle is outside our base, which means "fishing" (pulling) and cannons help a lot. There are days that there's not enough people though, so we do what you do, collecting armaments from the central which takes much longer ofcourse, it's almost impossible to be there alone In other words, Illum is very fine for me, the problem is in the WZ's.

bicuspid Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) WZ: queue with my premade, roll the crappy sith "battlemasters" (is it even a title to display if practically all your faction has it), takes at most 11 games to finish the weekly. Ilum: roll the center with 4 people while the main sith zerg camp our base and the dozen people there pulling them in. typically we finish our dailies in an hour or so. it basically goes we destroy all the solo sith picking up boxes, then after they whine about us enough in their general chat they get an ops of 20+ to roll over us, but we're done by then. the best thing about it is that sith avoid us like the plague. if its a 4 v 4 fight, and another sith shows up, most of the time they just abandon their doomed comrades and get the hell away. don't even get off their speeder. the saddest thing I've seen in this game is 4 sith from the same guild seeing me and my healer, and they completely bail on the guy I jump because omg its only 4v2! I don't want to generalize because I'm sure there are republic that do the same thing on other servers, but a lot of the sith more or less believe they're going to lose unless they have a zerg. At the start of voidstar I can do some emotes so the other side knows I'm there, and sometimes they actually leave before the game starts and we get the not enough people countdown until more sith battlemasters join. I'm fine with faction imbalance. On vulkar highway at least, there are maybe a dozen good sith players total out of however many hundred they have on their fleet. On voidstar we farm them by letting them take the first door, then camping them on the computers to extend the bridge. the layout there with the pillars and ramps basically renders all the sorcs and tracer spamming idiots useless. they cant even get a kill on us given 6 full minutes. jdi_knght Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) TBH I don't even go any more, but usually we have groups kill-trading a few times a day at Southern Assault on Grand Master Zym. Rep & Imps are on pretty good terms on our server so it's fairly easy to get going. It's also reduced the total # of people trying to get their dailies done in central, and thus the few times there aren't groups going, fighting & gathering at central tends to work out for both sides (more or less). Rehtiz Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 On my server (luca sene) its easy now. Go to ilum at 6pm and join in the ops group. The word has got around, 6pm is ilum time, for the last few days we have been getting a couple of ops groups. Take middle, await the retaliation and watch the valor come in. By about 7pm half the people are going off for pve raiding and eventually the empire overcome us. Add in the small group fights over the other cap points and we are getting decent pvp. Yesterdays fight was 2 republic ops groups and almost as many empire, with us reps having people willing to leave the fight to get the cap points we tended to be getting 100-200 valor per kill, got over 150 kills until we got overrun.

Soazak Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Pretty easily on Legions of Lettow. Despite a population imbalance, Ilum is usually fairly equal. Although, it did take Republic a long time to get the confidence to leave their base. Often we would sit inside despite having higher numbers. Now when Empire try camp, they're generally pushed back and forth to their speeder. It's a lot of fun when it works. The only problem is people only really stick around for their 30 kills then leave. It would be much better if PvP was more enjoyable for everyone, rather than a means to get gear.

King_Arillious Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 On my server there is SOMETIMES decent ops groups running. usually 10-20 reps on ilum at any given time. But to be honest usually there is 40+ imps rolling around cap points. So I log on, if there is a decent group then roll with them till sith completely overwhelm us and everyone leaves or hardly any reps on ilum and i log off and play a different character lol

I wish they would move crates to north and south , too so player could split up a bit Every time i try it, there are at least two to three imperials so its impossible.... even if i group with guild mates or random, we have suporiority maybe for 5 minutes until, imp form up a group at least twice in size then ours, moslty even more...

Xenon-se Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Normally empire have about half or a full ops and republic only have 0-10 people in ilum... but every now and then (a few times per week) they co-ordinate and swarm the place with almost two full ops and take all five bases. Big time empire **** for about 45+ minutes.

The latter often takes 12 or more wins because of the wz bug. But basically that is it in a nutshell. I also play the game rather than spend more time on the forums than I need to
