LeContrapasso
I'm a jedi knight and early on in the game i was told to go to a Twi'Lek village and talk to the matriarch of the town. Every time I go to the door to the building she's in a pop up says only one jedi knight is allowed in. When i talk to the woman next to the door she says something about looking for a jedi kinight but she doesnt know if my character is ready. How am i suppose to get into the building? Jacobusb
follow the yellow brick road that is your quest log, and map markers.
LeContrapasso
hahaha trust me I would but my only quest marker is on the door and that is my only available quest. My quest log is useless because all it says is talk to the matriarch.
mathisk
Are you questing with a friend who is also a jedi knight? Did he go into the building first? Did you change your preferences to allow for other knights to enter your story phases?
TakuanS
I did a quest as a consular in the same village. The matriarch has actually retreated to the top of a hill somewere, and she is on the second floor of a building... So you may be at the wrong building. You need to follow that path along which you hae to light all those markers...
Althire
That is a different quest and also a different matriarch she is the original matriarch who led her people to tython

Owsley
If the other character is telling you "you aren't ready" then you might not be at a high enough level to continue your quest. Backtrack to the Jedi temple or look around the village and see if there are any side quests to take. Side quests are designed to open up new areas of the map and lead you around the planet in a logical manner that complements your leveling. After leveling a few alts it's really obvious that the game was designed for the side quests to act as a guide. It's a theme park MMO not a sand box. I always take the quests. The only ones I sometimes pass on are the heroics. BTW using the side quests as a guide is important on some later planets which are designed to return to when you are at a different level. Rule of thumb: if you wander into an area that is 5+ levels above you, you made a wrong turn somewhere and aren't meant to be there yet. I'm pretty sure that's the first instanced quest you get, so I'm going to ask the obvious. Did you try just walking into the building? The 'pop up' you describe is shown on every class specific instance, but if it's green, you walk in. You will only be blocked if you are with another of your class and the preferences described in previous posts have not been set to allow it. If neither of you have done it, and you don't have the "Allow Access to Same Class Story Areas" enabled, you will just both go into your own instance. If you do have it enabled, you will be given an option to join the other person in their story instance, or enter an instance of your own. You will only be blocked from the instance if you haven't picked up the required quest yet, or if you have already done it. IIRC, the woman next to the door has a different quest. When you are "ready" (high enough level or completed other prerequisite) she will have a quest icon over her head and she will talk to you. The "you aren't ready" when talking to NPCs is something you will see regularly, if you get into areas that are above your level. Another one BW likes is, "You are not elegible for this converstaion". Edited February 16, 2012 by Adric_the_Red
