Concern for Asia-Pacific Launch

Hi there! I'm currently a player and guildmaster on The Harbinger server. For those who don't know, The Harbinger server, along with The Swiftsure and The Jekk'Jekk Tarr servers were the main picks for a large proportion of the Aussie/NZ players that joined SWTOR at launch.

On The Harbinger server the Aussie/NZ guilds are among the most organized and active, having really shaped what the end-game community on our server has become.

As a US-West player, I'm concerned by this, from the latest announcement:

Players who have already begun their journey will also have a limited-time opportunity to migrate their characters from their current servers to Asia Pacific servers after the launch on March 1st, giving them the chance to take advantage of the decreased network latency by playing on a regional server. All players who qualify for a character transfer will be notified in early March with more details.

I think it's great that there will be new Oceanic servers, but what's going to happen to our server? I would imagine that most, if not all of the major guilds and players will be transferring, and I think that will rock our community substantially, taking away a big chunk of our active end-game players. In my experience, about half of all the people I pug for HMs and Ops are from the Oceanic region. When they're gone, I'm worried it will leave our server a bit of a ghost town.

Not saying BW shouln't go ahead with the Oceanic transfers, but I hope someone has a plan for the servers that they'll be leaving. I would say that, at the very least, depending on how many players migrate, BW could consider merging the remaining populations of The Harbinger, The Swiftsure, and The Jekk'Jekk Tarr, so that the players on those servers can continue to find players to run content with, and continue to have thriving end-game communities.

Anyway, just my 2 cents! I'm going to miss all the awesome people (and their accents)!
