Owsley
Role playing servers/guilds are where like minded people gather to play and they stay in character whenever they do anything, like chat, choosing a name, etc. It's a geekfest. Anyone can join an RP server and not role play. Nothing, expect social stigma, prevents this. There is no enforcement mechanism. The ruleset is the same. The only rule set difference is PvP and PvE. PvP - Player vs Player - You can attack or be attacked by others at (mostly) anytime. PvE - Player vs Environment - PvP is consentual and restricted to certain areas. You mainly play against Non Player Characters (NPCs) in the environment. It has no bearing on solo play. BadOrb
We chose RP servers as we don't PVP in MMO'S so we thought RP would be our best option. After reading about the glitch were people flag you for PVP and you don't want to on PVE servers I'm glad we chose the so called geekfest errrrr. Also there are PVP areas on the RP servers. Badorb.
