i hate it every day when i go to ilium imperial is standing at the gate of the uncap and the republic are standing inside pulling peeps in to get the kills

now somtimes we have a big republic guild (immortals) go is actuale dowing somthing.

they flank us push us back and then the fun battle begins:D

now i woud advice if you are camping in the uncap to get kills you don`t get valor.

this woud force the peeps out of the uncap and make ilium so much more fun.

i want the big epic battle not the 60 min standing at the gate killing peeps ore farming boxes.

Could use a spelling and grammar check.

Now, that little bit of trolling aside, there's a 5 minute timer on respawns in Ilum. Meaning, if they kill you within 5 minutes of the last time you died, they don't get anything for the kill.

Also, *** is an "uncap"? Do you mean they're pulling you into the gate of their base so you die? If so, that's your own fault for standing there.

They camp due to the huge imbalance of numbers, for every 1 republic in that base theres about 4-5 sith outside. its a cross-server problem.

I feel bad for the other servers.

So the opposing faction camps outside of the base? There are multiple entrances to the open PvP area. Some other arguments include: you could bring friends, they don't get the quest crates camping outside your base, etc.

Also, does the huttball-type pull over the base border kill them? If so, get a couple of PTs or Inquisitors together to drag THEM over the line and kill them instantly. It'll learn 'em.

Either way, if you're being PULLED out of the gate, you're obviously trying to antagonize them somewhow.

I like your suggestion. On paper it would seem like it would promote world PvP...to further add to your suggestion to ensure parity, I would like to append to your suggestion that the side with a faction differential of more than 5+ players in an Ilum zone not be allowed to gain valor or receive quest credit in said Ilum zone until the sides are balanced again within five players. To be honest, most of the people, on both sides, are AFK, its just become the standard procedure, go there, stand around, wait till 30 have been killed by either turrets or people roping, then go back to fleets to claim.

But there is something I'd like to say on it all in defence of Bioware, they've made the Ilum map, 2 bases, which are now protected inside, points for killing enemy players, and bonuses for taking battlefield objectives, its a good makeup, its the players abusing it which are causing the problems.

Its hard to think of a way to script a good pvp which stops kill trading and Bioware can't just release a patch which balances the teams. In terms of scripting it in rules, its pretty difficult for it to tell the difference between regular fighting between a few people to a form of kill trading, for Kill trading, the best option for that is to just report the people doing so. I've not seen any kill trading on Niman, but I've seen it mentioned alot in forums so it maybe bigger on other servers.

I'd like to try and persuade more Sith players who are big on PvP to join the Republic side to help balance it, On the off time we get a good amount of active players on and decide to start pushing back even when at the disadvantage, we can still do well and its more fun and feels greater to be fighting against the numbers.

For alot (but not all) the Republic players on Niman, your not entirely out of the blame for not taking initiative and trying to build up groups to hit the sith back, Whenever I'm on in Ilum I'm always trying to persuade the rest of the group to come out and take the points and fight out in the battlefield against the Sith group which come out to try and stop us (which is usually when you have the better more intense fights, when its not so big group fighting not so big group). When its huge full groups fighting, its just a lag fest of all half heartedly using attacks on the nearest enemy player who other people are attacking.

But to sum it up, its mostly down to how players are lazily abusing it as opposed to how Bioware made it, I don't think they're sat in their offices like "right! lets make PvP where a load of sith are stood outside the republic base where there is a much smaller number of Republic players hiding behind turrets".

It's all largely due to most of the players hiding behind the numbers and parasiting off the few players on both sides who are at the front of each side trying to get the kills risking being roped in themselves.
