Jiryn
When your doing a class quest, specifically the strong and boss level ones, does the quest scale and account for the number of people within your group, or is it at a base set? About a month back, people discussed how class quests scale to your level, and if you are over leveled they become much more difficult. Is the same true for # of players? See, my wife and I have been grouped since day one. Neither of us will play unless the other is, however when we split up on our own to do class quests there are times where we got our asses handed to us in the late teens to mid 20s. Now, I am wondering if it was because we were always in a group. Stuff like Taris boss, and the solo boss fights (Knigth and Shadow) after the planets were a total pain in the arse when we were alone but grouped. Jiryn
No scaling. Which brings me back to the idea, how was I supposed to solo 2 Elites and 3 Strongs on Taris. That was one pack of mobs.
ezranj
I just posted a thread about this sort of thing. Some class quests are in desperate need of balancing. It feels like no one played them before the game went live.
MoFugga
No scaling. Wrong, 2 guild mates and I have been doing a lot of quests together and, whenever we go into an instanced area, as soon as the 3rd person crosses the barrier we get a little red lettered message across the screan that says "Enemy reinforcements arriving" and every stationary group we attack will spawn an additional Gold or 2 Silvers. Bloodtau
Bioware isn't as smart as people that work at Arenanet, they probably didn't even think of scaling in the game. SO, guild wars 2> star wars.
Aussircaex
"Alone but grouped"? Does that mean you were in an instance, but your teammate was not in the instance with you? In that case, they would not scale the number of mobs; the teammate needs to be inside to do that. Does that mean you were in a public area? Those mobs never scale to group size. Emeda
Which brings me back to the idea, how was I supposed to solo 2 Elites and 3 Strongs on Taris. That was one pack of mobs. You were probable in a heroic area that is intended for 2 or more people. What class quests did you have that had 2 elites and 3 strongs.

I remember taking on 1 elite and 3 strongs, and what I had to do was kill off the strongs as fast as I could and die to take the elite on alone. That is exactly what I am talking about. As for my Wife, we're in a group.. but we split up to do class quests. No they were NOT heroic areas. It was the instanced Class quest/storied areas.. so I was wondering if just being in a group adds people to the groups.. or do both already have to be inside.
