okravenhurst Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) I'm sure I'm not the first player to think that companion A is the coolest, most interesting character we get, but companion C is far better suited for our playstyle. I've noticed that a lot of people from the same class tend to use the same companion. Most Guardians use Doc, most Bounty Hunters use Mako or Blizz, most Sages use that Trandoshan looking guy, etc. I think it would be really the coolest thing ever if we could choose what role a companion would play. I know you can pick between tank/dps and heal/dps for some of them, but I mean it would be really awesome if I could use Lord Scourge or Kira Carsen as a healer on my Guardian. I propose being able to select a role (tank, healer, dps) for a companion upon completing a short quest or paying a bunch of credits or something. It would be a lot of fun to see more companion diversity in the game! Obviously this would require adding in new companion abilities. I think it should work something like this: depending on the role you select for your companion, an entirely new set of skills appears in their hotbar and under their tab in the abilities pane. If the role were changeable later, perhaps by paying a load of credits, these abilities would be erased and then replaced by the new ones for the new role. Edited February 14, 2012 by okravenhurst
SamuraBob_Fl Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) Yes, I would love to have some way of customizing my companions roles. I love Broonmark, but my Immortal Jugg needs a tank like he needs a 3rd leg. Edited February 14, 2012 by SamuraBob_Fl
