Doki
So, since just about every class uses Surge as part of their secodary stats, and Surge affects both healing and damage, it looks like everyone got hit equally, right? But wait, anything with a static absorption value isn't affected by the Surge nerf. And who has this ability? Answer: the Sorc/Sage bubble! The most powerful ability in the game just got even more powerful! Yup.
stephenjohnp
Everyone's DPS took a hit. Some classes are effected more than others, namely the burst classes. In PvP, this is essentially a buff to all defensive classes.

Pink_Saber
"Stealth buffs" don't get announced in patch notes.
Falonarion
This unfortantly proves once again that you cannot mix pvp and pve in the same game.. Everytime you fix something in pvp it is a nerf to pve. blizzard figured this out years ago, so wondering why BW devs are making the same mistakes every dev is making in regards to pvp/pve balance? Anelitt
Roll a sorcerer and fight a competent marauder, then tell me how easy faceroll it is. The grass is always greener...

The most powerful ability in the game just got even more powerful! Yup. I hear you loud and clear. You've made your point, it's time to nerf the imperial agent and smuggler, with their shield probe that was not negatively affected by the surge nerf, they're clearly far too powerful and overplayed. Halving their damage and healing should be a good start.
Powerhowse
All defensive abilities basically got a buff. My marauder ticks from heals got a buff from this, juggernauts tanks sonic barrier, my assassins harness darkness gives me a better heal because the dps do less damage to me, etc.
Tinasa
I'm just seeing this thread and I'm very pissed to learn there was a Stealth Nerf to my main character, which as a Sentinel was already the least needed or viable class in the game. Stealth nerfs are part of the reason I will never again play any game that SONY puts out. I just made a thread asking if Sentinel had been nerfed, because today I am finding myself dying doing dailies that I had learned and grown to handle with little trouble. This is completely unacceptable to me as a paying customer. Bioware is clearly not paying attention to the concerns of it's players when they make a change like this that not only further reduces the ability of it's most rolled class to compete, but also causes the PVE to become a chore beyond the already limited daily format. It's simply not worth the aggravation learning about this by having to pay out more in repairs or having to add this to the already problematic ability delays, cool down graphical problems and the additional time that will now be required to simply get things done. Doki
why wont alacrity buff my hots. Ffs. Its on every piece. Because endgame healing gear is really, really poorly thought out? At least it is on my Ops healer. Bonus example: the two bonuses in the Ops healer gear are essentially worthless. First being a buff to Recuperative Nanotech, a skill not even worth talenting into, and the second being 5 extra energy, which when you do the math compared to abiility costs has no impact on healing rotations or regen. Yup.
