Goodlivn
well i spent most of last night dying several times trying to see where i was going wrong. i think i have my new strategy(s) that i will try tonite after searching some topics but i just had a couple last questions im a lvl46 hybrid Sorc using Khem. made it to Zash who is lvl44. i havent been able to get her much below 60-70% HP. i dont know why she is so much harder than Act 1. i solo'ed her then by interrupting with jolt/electrocute but this time they arent enough. i know now that i have to also interrupt with Overload and WW. so thats my plan A. 1)my question with this plan is are those two other powers enough to keep her from getting off AOEs if i time them correctly? if im OL range and i miss a an interrupt things will spiral pretty fast. 2)does an interrupt work even after a power has been activated? like if i miss a jolt during Zash's activation animation will it stop the damage even after it starts? 3)Should i try to stop her from getting ANY attacks off or are there only 1 or 2 that i should save my interrupts for? if so, what does the animation for these look like? Plan B is to take Talos instead of Khem and turn off everything but heals... 1) will this require a lot of kiting and running around? i will always move out of any ground targets i see (if i miss a jolt) but i really dont want to run all over the map to make Plan B work 2)Does Talos stay far enough out of the way so that he wont get himself killed? if im the only dps i suspect im gonna be too busy to watch his HP 3)using Talos gives me another interrupt power on his bar i can use? thanks....wish me luck
CosmicJedi
I soloed the entire quest at 2 am I use talos am hybrid light/mad am level 44 I ignored her aoe just moved out of it interrupted her heal and extricated talos the one time he was in the aoe I used my static barrier in every fight from the start and recast it as soon as the debuff is gone never end a fight below 98% health Edited February 14, 2012 by CosmicJedi
Asmiroth
A few things about interruption. While an enemy is channeling, they are dealing damage and you should interrupt. While an enemy is casting they are not dealing damage and you should save the interrupt for the last part of the cast. The optimal interrupt routine is: Jolt, Electrocute, Jolt, Channel the Force, Electrocute, Jolt. Third, most abilities require line of sight. Use the terrain to your advantage, especially fights with pillars (you will need this in a few quests). Finally, you don't need to interrupt each ability. Force Storm is a targetted AE spell, so just move out of range (Ctrl+2 for the companion). Lightning Strike deals pitiful damage. Force Lightning can hurt. Affliction/Crushing Darkness can be Purged. Thundering Blast is the killer. If you can't interrupt it, shield and channel a heal.
Goodlivn
ahhh yea im interrupting her everytime she flinches so they were always down when i needed them. will be more selective about when i use them. also im not purging effects often enough methinks which contributes to Khems HP melting away too fast i will stand out of her AOE range and try to extricate khem if i see he is standing in it
