Ya, its completely viable. Like he mentioned just use Qyzen and heal/bubble him a lot and keep him well geared. I leveled to 47 basically on my own this way (with the exception of some FP's and Heroics), some bosses will be hard to solo simply because Qyzen doesnt have the best damage output and you run out of force trying to help plus heal, so you may need a bit of help there but these bosses are few and far between.

The one major upside to playing this way is you rarely die as well. Even on the off chance that Qyzen dies you can alternate between heals on yourself and DPS to kill of the few remaining enemies.

The one huge problem (for me at least) playing this way is: 1) fights often become slow and monotonous as you rarely do much fighting rather are just healing and 2) that

Nadia is not really a viable companion as she is squishy but high DPS and doesnt tank well

.

For these reasons I wound up switching to a Heals/DPS hybrid able to keep both me and companion alive as well as help out the aforementioned spoiler tags well enough to keep the companion in my party.

The one major upside to playing Heals or Heals/DPS over straight DPS as well is the always high demand for healers amongst group ops (FP's, heroics, etc) and in PvP (although you may consider the hybrid build for better PvPing)

Hope it helps,

Frank

Playing on PTS there are no groups, but I decided to go heal spec anyway.

Soloing is pretty straightforward although you do need to be at level for the quests to cope well.

Rather than sticking with Qyzen, I find Tharan the most versatile, especially dealing with golds as Holiday's interupts help enormously. For general ploughing I prefer the Leiutenant to Qyzen, although when DPS alone isn't enough I pop out Tharan again. Haven't had Nadia long enough to really work her out.

Oh yes and I keep EMP switched off and make careful use of force lift to manage incoming damage.

Currently level 45 having yet to group with anyone :-s

I've had no trouble - I put a bubble and HoT on Qyzen and then use telekenisis, project, mind something (the instant DoT) on single targets.

On groups once you get Forcequake (I think that's what it's called) you just rip stuff up.

I do more damaging the healing - I just keep my eye on Qyzen and go into healing mode if he drops down around 20% health.
