Rehsals Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I know you can't have 8 man premades but more and more every day I'm going against a team of Heavy Armor Tanks/Healers + Regular Healers. It seems like you don't even need DPS for PvP. Just stack tanks and healers, you'll eventually kill the enemy and you'll only lose 10% health in the process. I'm expecting a lot of L2P replies but until one of you show me a game where you fight nothing but Heavy Armor Tanks/Healers + Regular Healers, and win, I will disregard your post.
oXideDeadMan Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Seems to be a growing problem on my server and imo tanks do too much damage.
Rahak Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 What people want to play, and whether or not they want to be effective is up to them. I doubt Bioware is going to nerf the crap out of both healing and tanking for the sake of making things easier for the side without.

Best counter to that combo is to go after the tank. The tank is squishier than the healer and tanks really don't do THAT much damage. All they are really useful for is their debuffs and protecting healers. That being said, a good counter to that combo is exactly the opposite of what you think. Lots of DPS on the tank! Healer and tank heavy groups are good at staying alive and can be a pain in certain situations in voidstar and civil war, but in most games where I've healed with more than one other healer and more than a tank or two resulted in a loss for us. Just not enough damage output.

Limit the amount of healers/tanks/dps in a WZ. That shouldn't be too difficult. Each skill tree has points in it. If they are mostly in the tanking spec, they're a tank etc etc. If they're hybrid spec just classify them as whatever tree has more points in it.

That would just create a whole new problem entirely. At any rate, I doubt this should be even considered without dual specs in the game first.

Just not enough damage output. Its kind of hard to "target the tank" when the majority of the team was tanks. Its not a nerf that is needed. Yes heavy armor healing is ridiculous and tanks do way too much dmg, bit there is very little that can be done against a composition of tanks and healers. There is very little point to bringing any other class into a WZ if thats the case.

You cant deny people access to a WZ based on their spec.
Discontentt Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 You cant deny people access to a WZ based on their spec. Alright you say that you't dent people access. Which I can totally agree with but something has to be done about that. I mean you can;t say the game is balanced when in a situation like that it is clearly not. We arent going OMG NERF NERF NERF, no but you can obviously see how it can beyond infuriating when you are basically at the whim of the enemy team based on class alone. That is hardly fair.

Im not denying there is a problem but the solution has the potential to create even more problems. Once again its a design flaw that bioware probably didnt see coming and now its here and they have to do something about it.

Rehsals Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Can Bioware address this ******** please... Everyday I get on to play WZ's and bam, 4 tanks, 4 healers. No one dies.
