Add some interior/exterior custumization for the ship, like in the hangar bay, put all the speeder you own, that would add some immersion. And some dummy to practice your dps. Or some model to put our gear on display. Also, you can add some things to do with friend in the ship like pazaak. A lot of possibilty here. And for the exterior, add some bigger gun and some plate to the ship as you advance trough ship's gear. You could also change the ship's color for more personalization. The personal ship is a great idea and it have a lot of potential, I like mmo with housing and I think Bioware must make it more attractive, cause people spend the most of ther time on the fleet.
