Achromatis Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Yep. Edit: I did something like this for a while http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401MffbzhZMI.1 You dont actually need the TA procs from KP(talented, Medical Engineering) unless youre going further up the Medic tree for Surgical Probe, or up Concealment for Laceration, because you wont be using the extra TA for anything. Edit2: Because Im bored. Avoided using companion names due to spoilerage I went into Concealment first before going up Medic, and then I went higher in Medic to this: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401MffbzG0ozZMI.1 Then I just put points into Lethality for passive bonuses like Crit and Shiv damage. I used Kalyio until I got the DPS companion who uses Cunning gear on Hoth, and with a little gear and support you will blast through things much quicker and you can healbot her on elites. With a tanking companion I let Kalyio AoE and just roll HoTs and provide healing when needed, otherwise throw in Backstabs and Shivs on her target. Tanks wont do much DPS on their own. With a DPS companion turn off their AoE skills and use Tranq, then burst one down and your companion will usually attack a different target. You just throw up HoTs on both of you. It works out really well, you can use either a tank or a DPS companion and itll provide you with two fairly different playstyles using the same spec. With either type of companion you will want to assist their target, unless you want to micro them more. But by the time you get to 36 you learn Hidden Strike(stealth backstab), and its worth going full Concealment(you can do it before, but its a bit lackluster). This works out well because you will also likely have your healer companion around that level(on Taris), and he uses the same gear as you(besides the Pistol). You can use a tank or DPS companion as Concealment, but you will have downtime. I hate downtime, so I either run as a healer rolling HoTs with a DPS companion or Im Concealment with a healer companion. Edited February 8, 2012 by Achromatis
Arrys Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I personally would go at least 2 more points for sedatives. That 10 seconds of -50% DPS is a payday for mutli elite fight simplicity and I suspect would work well with the delayed DPS build of lethality as well. Particularly as MOBS seem programmed to frontload. trash pulls any spec works. AOE AOE AOE. Single target DPS companions bite IMHO.
