PLEASE make TARGETING more responsive/easier

I cannot even begin to expres how frustrating is to click-target someone and often this is your only choice to select a distant player, as tab targeting is so random that it takes 4-5 hits (if you're lucky) to cycle to your target.

 

In a game where Khem val gets selected even when you have the cursor on the other side of the screen, is it SO HARD to make the player rectangle larger? do I really need to click 10 times to be able to select a moving player??? (if lucky)

I have considered that maybe bioware is working with other companies to help them sale their product due to shere volume of monitors, keyboards and mouse they have contributed to being destroyed by players. So many damn frustrating tedious bugs in this game and yes targeting is of course one of them. On a side note FIX the damn non credit for wz's.

My problem is with changing targets and then casting a spell and my spell goes to the previous target.

 

Last night I was in a 2v1 situation in PvP with me on the 1 side. I CC'd one of them, changed targets to the other, started attacking and broke my own CC since my attack when to my previous target.

 

My spells need to go at the person I am targeting, not the person I used be targeting.

/agree..

Not to mention in huttball for instance with all the AOE's and poo going off I have a hard time seeing who I have targeted I wish when I targeted player they had something that stood out a little more, the red target at their feet does not do it for me especially when they are a platform above me.

Problem or feature? Cause when you work it the other way, you can retarget your dps while the cc animation/cast is hitting your intending target.

 

Not going to argue that it's counter-intuitive though. Feels like the GCD's are working backwards.

 

PLUS- MOVABLE ENENY CAST BAR. You can get used to your own skills, but that cast bar is way too low.

I would be fine with the current targeting system if it was more responsive. I prefer to click target in pvp for surgical precision, but half the time I click them and it doesn't target OR it does target them, but I can't tell without looking at their name and verifying the same name is listed as my target which takes FAR too much precious time. Bio needs to do something about the visual targeting itself. As a melee, when I am in close combat I have a tough time seeing the targeting courser at all in pvp. It's not too bad at range, but when you are up close having effects go off all over the place, it is damn near impossible to see that red reticle. I would like to see it made BIGGER and more SATURATED to definitively tell who is targeted.

This, I think my pocket healer is slowly getting tired of my vent rage. So many damn tedious bugs that you can bet if it's there, I'll run into it. Targeting is a mess, on top of that the target UI is small and very hard to see.

 

Better targeting, better UI to see who you have targeted please.

Can't help but agree. The worst thing I've seen is when tab targeting selected someone who wasn't even on my screen and a bit behind me. I was trying to move forward with a charge as a hutt ball carrier and someone popped into view by the goal. I saw they were going to jump off the platform, so without time to click...

Agreed! Thought I was the only moron that had to click to target. The worst is when there is someone you want to target in the middle of other targets. LOL

 

This is the worst thing for me. Trying to heal someone who is surrounded by guys and I can't click him even though the cursor is on him. I have to run around in circles until I finally get it on him... Or they die...

 

Most people are understanding though and the people I have played with and this has happened don't seem to mind.

 

This is the only game where I don't get frustrated even with the bad mechanics of selecting a target. I don't know why but in any other game I get pissed :jawa_eek:
