Elara Romance Glitch?

Here's the rundown. I just started chapter 2, but already have her up to 8000 affection.

-I've chosen every flirt option "except" the very first one on taris over the holcam. After that I've had a few opportunities and have taken everyone I can.

-I didn't make her my XO, I've heard Jorgan makes a better one anyways, and there didn't seem to be much love lost there. I hope that isn't necessary to romance her since we can't save, and that'd be total BS.

 

Is it a glitch, or do I just need to push chapter 2 along a bit more? (romances seem to be glitched in general in this game though)

I've recently finished chapter 3 and I'm still only in the early stages of the romance. So just hang in there and remain patient.

Just keep going a little more in the story line. You'll get there. Its based both on affection and where you are in story line. Just FYI promoting her or not has NO affect on the romance. I too promoted Jorgan, and was still able to romance her.

I just finished up on VOSS and have had the discussion with her about kids but I still have not had any further discussions. I have not Flirted with her on any discussions, will this stop the romance story with her. Just a few specifics, I am a Level 49 Commando with max affection 10K. Am I missing something, or do I just need to be patient.

It's been awhile since I leveled affection with Elara on my trooper, but doesn't the kids discussion come after you marry her? If so, the kids discussion is the last one.

I mean the discussion abut her teaching your kids. Is this the last convo? Or is there more after this. Again to confirm I am at 10k Affection and at the end of Voss.

That's a big problem haha.

 

Ngoma,

At the moment that is the last of the romance arc. She will send you random love mail with items from now on.

TY for the reply - but here is the issue. There is no romance at all ATM. So are you saying that she goes from just being friends to sending letters and gifts even before a kiss or a flirt?

 

I hear that one needs to let the story progress but having leveled a trooper before I can say there is very little of the story left. Maybe a handful before the end.

 

Is this a glitch or have I missed something?

I'm in chaper 2 as well. i just started hoth and have not had any chats with Elara since the begining of Ch.2. I'm pretty sure it was after i pick her as my Lt. i had 5-7 chats with her in which we started the relationship and after that i have had no chats since except for many be a small one with her jerk of a handler. it seems it takes for ever for the this to happen because i have alway pick opions that raise her affect. and always flirted with her. feels like im at the middle point of this little side story. her affection is between 7-8k atm and im lv 40

OK bit of a spoiler alert ; but would love some advice ;

 

 

I am about to kill Rackton on Correlia. And I am level 50. This is basically the end of the story. Elara is at 10k, i have had the chat about her teaching any children "I" (not we) have about biology and the like. We have talked about her defecting brother - we have talked to the jerk who investigates her. We have also talked about her citizenship where she gives me the bottle of brandy. I have another trooper who is female (please note this trooper in question is male) and as far as I know this is the last time she talks as a friend. I have no flirt options offered. Unless she falls for me upon the death of Rakton, then the is no romance. How is this possible?

 

 

Sorry of the spoiler wrap but for those who have completed a level 50 trooper you will understand there is no more affection i can get and the class story is largely (see spoiler) finished.

to the extent of my knowledge (as I've not done all of the classes), every companion's last dialogue pertains to them helping your "legacy", be it your children, your future padawans, followers or anyone that is part of your legacy (sometimes they will even use the word "legacy", but it can be some convoluted phrasing to denominate your alts).

 

What this means is that once you have such dialogue, it's the end, there won't be anymore dialogue beyond that and if you've not had any discussion about getting romantically involved, you've missed the train somewhere back.

Sadly you may be right. But if I was only offered 1 flirt option all through leveling (and I am certain of this) then what to do?

I just finished Chapter Two and last night - we became an "official" item. Lots of kissing and "I love you's" but that's about it so far. I am level 43 and her affection is about 8500 or so.
