Snuffalupagus
I don't really understand all the hate, i feel like i must be missing out on some other gaming experience that is the greatest thing to have been invented since sliced bread. I'm not trying to say the game is perfect, god no, there r plenty of things that can b fixed but im still really enjoying myself. For most of the day i get into pvp games at the drop of a hat (Krath), most classes seem balanced to me as i see different classes topping dps, kills and heals everygame (i play sentinel and am i always top 4 dps, often top) and even tho i'm playing at least 4 hours a day atm (which is really too much to be healthy) there is plenty of things for me to do. There is just so much hate on the forums that people must have an experience with a game brings out a new standard in online gaming. People just seem to b expecting an ridiculously high standard of gaming with this game. So basically wanted to know if i was the only one having fun in pvp? Let me put it this way - If this game wasn't Star Wars, f2p in shorter time then Warhammer Online. The Star Wars name is keeping this game afloat. LionRampant
The pvp might not feel very balanced until you go back to WoW and get blown away in 3 seconds flat by a mage. Edited February 2, 2012 by LionRampant

Djhots
I prefer wow pvp to swtor. Maybe its just the fact I have played it for so long at a very high lvl. Tor pvp is horrible in my opinion. I flat out cannot stand it. Unless I am in a premade I just won't take the time to do it. I agree with Lol-k-noob that the star wars name is whats keeping this game alive. This is just one of the many hundreds of issues I have with this game. I will give BW time to get some things fixed, but that slack is getting much shorter by the minute. I guess I could just stop playing for 6 months then come back hoping they have fixed all the issues. Wait, it's EA...nvm. Raemtor
Come to Ilum on Kathol Rift. 5-10 Republic soldiers at the best of times, literally just running past the Sith, farming armaments where and when they can. They don't attack them because they've got some "truce" going on with their buddies, AKA they're furthering the horrendous gear gap present on our server. It's absolutely pathetic; I've been playing MMO's since Dark Ages of Camelot, and I have *never* seen any behaviour this damaging to a game go unpunished for so long. Sshate
PvP designers are lost. They don't have a good idea of the state of each class. Players QQ overwhelmingly misleading (everyone who sucks complain that they lost because the game is broken). As a result, PvP "balance" is purely knee jerk reaction of nerfing the things generating loudest QQ. That is ALWAYS a downward spiral for game design health. Ilum is it's own special case of beyond stupidly broken. They would have been better off just leaving it as trading control points. The current system actually unbalances valour as well, which is a decidedly poor plan.
