Biochem, Bioware takes the easy way out

So....reading the latest Notes for the Test Server made me *facepalm*

 

Instead of actually giving a buff to professions like Armstech Bioware opted to continue to nerf Biochem until it is equally useless like the other professions.

 

Tell me Bioware, what good is another Biochem nerf to somebody that crafts armor that is plain useless at lvl50 ?

 

I especially love the part where they say that the benefit of the rakata biochem stuff should be that they are reusable.

kind of makes me wonder why the benefit of rakata medpac is a 15% buff to health that doesnt get healed when the prototype ultimate medpac is better in every way since it still has the HoT...

 

seriously, stop swinging the nerfbat around blindly and buff the other professions.

While I agree with you that the other professions could maybe use a boost, to close the gap may be more than a simple buff can handle.

 

Sometimes a nerf really is called for. Sometimes something really is that far out of whack.

 

To be honest, I do not know how I would fix biochem at this point.

 

Orange gear puts armormechs and synthweavers in a perilous place to begin with.

Armstechs aren't much better, but at least they get to make a few exotic weapons and barrels for the orange weapons, so they fill a role.

 

Forget about what they are doing to biochem for a bit.

 

What can they possibly do to make armormech and synthweaving skills that people will look at in the same light as biochem?

 

Don't just say that they should do it. Try to find a way to make them as good as biochem is without a nerf.

 

I do not see it happening unless they add a really nice consumable to those skills and allow them (and only them) to make and use a non-consumable version.

Give each craft a set of BoP gear with superior rating that is reasonable to craft, i.e. not needing Biometric Crystal Alloys. Also make these items require a skill level of that particular crew skill. We already see what happens when you don't.

 

Take those BoP items and create an additional set (similar to what they did with Rakata) for the Biometric Crystal Alloy or "Op/HM exclusive raid" items.

i agree aswell ... you should save other craftings instead, then trading will be usefull aswell again
