Romiz Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I really hate that they are bending over for people with sub-standard machines. Its ******** that the people that upgraded their machines to play this game, like me, get ****ed over. In fact some of the people reporting problems had state of the art high-end systems. So it was not related to poor systems.
Tuscad Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Could I at least get a hug and a peck on the cheek every time you bend me over the table for these updates every night? If it was me, I would buy you dinner first...

julzz Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 there has been problems, yes , but not big ones, just glitches that i could mention many such as buttons dragging off the bar when lock is on in pvp, stuck under hutball warzone falling in the sky, running in the sky above a map cause i tried to take a short cut and jumped off a cliff ... all minor just LET US PLAY>>>>
Aemish Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Same here. I live on the East Coast, but because of work my play times are Aussie prime times. I like the fact that they are fixing the game.. but there is a fine line to walk here. An example would be a waiter. I am sure everyone here likes the focus of a waiter to ask if everything is ok and not just ignore you during your meal.. but if that waiter is coming over to your table and asking you questions every 3 - 5 minutes, well.. it is too much and it gets annoying. Same here. I like that they are fixing it.. but too many down times during my play time gets annoying. I am not going to quit the game over something like this (unfortunately, I had to type this out because I am sure some large-foreheaded neck-beard will say I am going back to WoW), but if Bioware wants to listen to their fans so bad, well then listen to us who are getting screwed out of our play time! I SO agree with this. The economy is crap... people are working all kinds of different shifts just to get by every month. The money we're spending on gaming is feeling like a waste, when the game is down for 8 hours out of every 72. I am all for fixing issues - really, congratulations BW for being a company who cares - but a little balance is in order here. 3-4 shutdowns a week is excessive. Find a way to hot-fix the code for emergency repairs. Stagger server shutdowns if they're going to be necessary so that people still have alternate places to play. Put the shutdowns on a rotating schedule. You guys are smart. I'm sure you can figure it out. My employer is not going to change my schedule so I can play your game. If you want us night-workers here, you're going to have to accommodate.
Vegetian Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Oh no! Too much updates! Its like they care about how game is doing... Unbelievable! Public test server....I may be mistaken..but isn't that server meant to test updates before they go live? Right...? Eh..maybe it's just there for looks, and it's not taken into account. Ah yes, just like we beta players were...yup.
Tuscad Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Read my topic about a solution to this problem. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=2431384#post2431384
JerBear-d Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I like to play pretty much primarily while the servers are down. I'd rather just not get to play one or two nights a week and have a decent (or improving) game to play for the majority of the week than have a faulty game 6 nights a week that is down on the 7th night. But I guess that is just me. Quality of the time you get over quantity, right?
parabellum_dh Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 yes these updates are getting annoying. dont get me wrong im glad they are keeping up with the game and fixing it but like others have said and myself i play right when they decide to shutdown the servers. i havent been able to play for about a week and i just went on and the servers are down again. very frustrating.and for me since i started playing i have not had a single issue with this game. not a glitch, never stuck, never froze, so personally i get even more frustrated cuz i dont know what they're fixing
