Jurugar
Major changes are currently on schedule for the next major content patch, such as extractable basemods (armoring, barrel, etc.) from purple items, critical crafting successes on orange outfits, more bind-on-equip schematic drops for artifice and other professions, increased relevance of augments, better reverse engineering chance, and other improvements. We want to create significant incentive for players to engage in the crafting economy – as provider of goods or supplier - without requiring players to take up a specific profession as a ticket into endgame. I guess my question is this - as orange gear can already be crit, are you going to increase the likelihood of a crit or decrease (or possibly even remove) it? I'm in the process of arranging to pay a substantial sum for a crit orange lightsaber, seeing as how each attempt requires 3 biometric alloys, and I need to know if I should stop because it'll become easier in the future, or redouble my efforts because it may no longer be possible once 1.1.2 hits. Cavadus
Outfits... Outfits... Outfits... Outfits... Orange Outfits... Something tells me they're referring to moddable armor as you cannot currently get a critical crafting success with moddable armor meaning no crafted moddable armor can have an augment slot. Grimgrey
I guess my question is this - as orange gear can already be crit, are you going to increase the likelihood of a crit or decrease (or possibly even remove) it? Orange weapons can crit when crafted right now, orange armor can't. The use of the word "outfits" implies that they'll be adding the ability to crit on orange armor schematics. I doubt they'll change the crit rate on weapons.

Ah, I wasnt aware synthweavers couldnt crit on their orange pieces, which makes Georg's post much less ambiguous than I originally thought it was. SpankyMcFlych
Well that kinda kills the value of looted orange gear doesn't it heh. I better unload the stuff I have now before more people find out about this.

GAThrawnMIA
What do you need a screesnshot for? A crit will add an Augment slot, just like it does at the moment when you get a crit crafting non-Orange armour. It won't change the look of the armour at all, and won't change the stats (as Orange armour doesn't have stats). So you'll have the original 3 mod slots, plus an augment slot. It will also, presumably, add a label like "Exceptional" to the item's name, so that people can search for them easier on the GTN.
