LordDraxus Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 When I first flew to Nar Shadaa and saw that there were casinos, I became stoked at the possibility of doing some gambling and hopefully winning some credits.... to no avail. Even before I purchased the game when I was waiting for it to come out I'd hoped there would be gambling in swtor. Anybody else agree? Add some casino games devs please! Add pod racing on Tatooine and let us gamble on the outcomes! lol it would be epic! swoop races! pazaak! Anyone else agree??

You could even play against other players and earn social points in the process.
Stenrik Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) Yeah could be cool and I'd love to see a use for those floating casino's in Nar Shaddaa. Problem is the rating system. I think there are rules against outright gambling in games that "minors" play. Hopefully there's a loophole or workaround. If there's enough skill in these games I can see money being taken from another player as a "reward." But if it's just luck that's a different story. Edited February 2, 2012 by Stenrik

I'd like to see pazaak, holochess, etc..etc.. woudl make it interesting... And I still think we will see it someday, I'm just not sure how they would implement it into an mmo... but would love to see it. I would drop this in the suggestion box.

flyersfan Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I'd like to see this as well. It would bring people to social spaces and make the community more alive. I'd also like to see the casinos no longer be faction-locked because there's absolutely no reason for that.

So....lets get this straight, killing npcs and doing some rather evil things(if your darkside) isn't as bad as gambling and sexual themes? So it's not gambling player vs. player but player vs. game. There are some slot machines around in the casinos in this game too, used as inactive decoration, so doing something similar would probably not be a bad idea. In Fallout New Vegas, the player vs. game gambling is a mini game, very simple. You place some credits, pull the lever and hope for three bananas or whatever. Edited February 2, 2012 by Massimoto

But yeah, pazaak in the casino and swoop races on tatooine for starters lol. What would also be really cool is if you could bet credits against other players in duels, or have an arena where you can bet credits, like a tournament or something.

But i guess thist is not crucial for this game's developpers at the moment regarding the bugs and the improvement on f.i. the UI and the Galactic market I hope they will consider the casino for some day...
