Cernow Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 Currently my 29 Powertech is full shield spec. I love the survivability but the kill speed is painfully slow. I want to retain the ability to tank, but I'm wondering if a hybrid spec would speed up the levelling. I don't plan on doing much PvP. Maybe the odd Hutball game, but it's really not my focus. I would like to be able to tank flashpoints while levelling and I would like to continue to be able to solo Heroic 2 missions. But I'd also like to put out a bit more dps than a pure shield spec can manage. Is there a hybrid spec which speeds up levelling for Powertech but still retains the ability to tank when needed? Pokupo Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 I have stayed Shield Spec all the way to leve 30 till I got Rocket Jump, then started going into Pyro to go for the 21/2/18 build. I could see that if you are fine on Tanking atm take some points out and pickling up skills like Iron Fist, Puncture, and Prototype Burn Enhancers. Then maybe Hot Iron and Prototype Cylinders. Or you could just respec and go Pyro and you may still be able to Tank fine enough just make sure you change your Cyclinders around. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
