WZ PVP Fix

Fix for people not caring whether they win or loose.

Fix for people randomly leaving during a battle because their team "sucks" and they don't want to try for the come from behind win.

Fix for super high pve gear repair costs (useless credits sink...)

Answer: In any WarZone...the loosing team has post death effects ie: damaged gear. And if you leave in the middle of a WZ, it counts as a loss and you receive the same durability loss to gear. Basically flip flop PVE and PVP post death/loss effects.

...and there we have it ladies and gents.

a step in the right direction...first of many.

That's an idiotic idea.

Yes, making it so that you never risk queuing solo and/or getting stuck in an 8v6/12v8 stompest is going to fix PVP instead of making less people play it... right....

Fix the imbalances first so that going into every game both sides have a fighting chance and then you can start thinking about punishing defeat.

huh?

You don't even take gear damage in WZ as far as I know, at least I have never needed to repair my mercs gear and I have done nothing but WZ with her to level 26.

Horrible idea.

or possibly a gamble/wager option.....something that creates a "loss" if you loose.

it would motivate people to try in pvp....ie: organize/communicate/form groups etc...

and the damage to durability doesn't have to be super high...but something like 1kish worth of repairs if you loose etc... and like 200ish at lower levels etc...

So op wants people to carry him through wz, never leave ever if he suck at pvp completely and bring him wins ?

What a bs...

People leave wz for a reason, you are not the one to judge them, want people to stay - show them that you can do teamwork.

Im tired of tards on alderan who never capture side, who always stays center, even if sides are enemy free, who stays on a safe captured point where enemy never bothers to go, I am tired of those idiots, and if I leave - I found a reason to do so.

Huttball - same thing tired of people who see almost dead enemy player and rush in team of four to finish him and imidiately leave if more enemies come by... those who cant cc at all, who cant push off ledge, tired of gay double heal, tired of all this bs.

All I care now is my medals, thats right, I dont plan on winning, don't plan losing, If I can - I do objective, but I focus on medal gathering, so even if we lose, I came out with something, not with my barehands full of rage...

So stop writing bs op..

And carebears are those who put no effort to win, yet want this win.

The same could be said of the so called 'good' pvpers who wont even try if they don't get a good start, seen plenty of that. The people that don't leave, generally speaking, are the ones that are trying to win (obviously there are exceptions who just stand there doing nothing), or at least get something out of it, rather than quite to get in the next one that they can hopefully faceroll for the easy valor / commendations ... etc.

well said.

...basically what I'm getting at

reward the people who stay and pvp, who try for the win, who organize and communicate with others...

if people get in the habbit of leaving or junking a WZ all the time...or going in for the soul reason to get medals or killshots...it'll ruin pvp in the longrun.

Dumb idea, maybe not the dumbest ever but certainly up there. Losing a match does make me lose something. I lose XP, Valor, Credits, and Commendations on a loss. Or rather I have lost the potential full gain from the warzone.

Damage to items for PvP is rediculous! It will cause more griefing at lower levels on the open PvP servers and yes I would probably be the one doing some of the griefing :)

Also those people who quit a match take a loss in commendations etc, or rather they don't gain as much. Usually I find that it is much better gain to just take the loss cause usually by the time you are sure it is going to be a loss there is only a few minutes left in the match at most.

"Not gaining" isn't the same as losing....just FYI

but everyone with a dislike of the idea are right I suppose..if this was in the game from the get go it would be all good and accepted...BUT there are obvisously too many QQ's and want to be spoon fed little minions in the world that BW will have to please the masses and keep the game as Carebear as possible...
