Scan
We are currently absorbed in end game raiding, our guild is on NM SOA/Kragga Both on last bosses, there is a drive at the moment to keep raiding as these last bosses are actually quite a challenge however, once we have downed these bosses there is going to little or no desire to rerun them, the end game gear (Rakata gear and some other) is not worth the effort. I think I read somewhere that they were going to fix the gear but then I also read they were going to punish people that played in Ilum the first day and other promises to fix etc. So I guess my point is while yes, we are quite "hardcore" and there are probably not too many guilds close to completion of all endgame the fact is the replay value for players to wipe and teach others is zero. The rewards for doing it, apart from prestige among your peers is minimal upgrades. Just a point to maybe take in, I know I'll see "reroll an alt" or "dont spacebar though content" replies but anyone that understands mmo's knows that the real playability of an mmo is endgame raiding. (its certainly not pvp at the moment)
pursang
I'm sorry, but you're not at all hardcore if you're doing only normal-mode raids. Like, not at all.

(it's certainly not raiding at the moment). //Battlemaster Qui-Thala Haera | Lvl 50 Tankassin | Grand Theft Stardestroyer | EU Frostclaw
Mrpoodles
been Clearing hard mode Vault and palace each week and loving it. not sure what else you can ask for. they will add more soon. they are 100x more fun then wows and are a nice change to raiding when it comes to a few puzzle type fights or team work fights. if you are not enjoying the raids then its something to do with you. Mrpoodles
also nothing is hardcore about it. if you dislike it or not clearing NM its not hardcore raiding. Clear HM's then talk. NM are push over raids.

But then he said they were on on last bosses in both raids on nightmare mode. Mrpoodles
but again i am so confused with you so called "gamers" today. i am not sure what more you want right now. the game just got a early update with more bosses and i bet another is on its way. i enjoy doing hardmodes with my close buddys and i rather think the raids here do offer real fun unlike other mmos that a child can do. i think the raid right now are just great for a release raid and i cant wait till a few patchs come along. Well... if he actually meant Normal Mode... then I take back everything. I mean... that's first try clearing material. //Battlemaster Qui-Thala Haera | Lvl 50 Tankassin | Grand Theft Stardestroyer | EU Frostclaw

Im sorry if my post was not clear enough. My point is once we finish these encounters, and we will, there is almost no desire to rerun them for loot, it really will be the end for us, at least. I am a hot shot pilot, lol, and also I have a lvl 45 Republic JN and lvl 29 Imp BH, Im also rank 61 in pvp. So, I like the game... The worry is for my group of friends anyway that the motivation for rerunning the NIGHTMARE modes for fringe players and personal gearing is zero. Solution, either improve gear asap, or and I would prefer this, add some really nice social gear, uber cool mounts or such. Carrot and stick, at moment once we munch the current carrot (completing NM mode) there is only stick left.

NM HM or Nightmare i enjoy it all. I can't really say. I've done very little raiding, but what I did I enjoyed. Our guild just PvP's mostly and very seldom have enough people to raid. I disagree with OP about raiding being the only viable endgame. EDIT: OP replied Edited January 29, 2012 by Arathea

Although I understand your concern, I have played this game pretty avidly and I have only one character who is 50 and is doing regular operations. I think, to be fair, a ridiculously huge portion of the community is no where near your level, and seeing as they released new operations fairly soon after launch, all you can really do is wait. I know its not a fair arguement to say "you shouldn't have rushed" but really, thats kind of the situation your in. Its kind of like when The Phantom Menace Episode I was on the way. You could of never seen Star Wars. Sat down knowing a new movie in the famous series was coming out, sat down and watched all 3 movies in one sitting, then got upset because there "wasn't anything else." I had the misfortune of doing the same thing in Vanilla WoW. I had leveled 3 characters to 60, geared 2 of them completely, and had completed virtually every raid and been pvping and doing other random stuff regularly and eventually just ran out of content. Go kill some world bosses, get all the holocrons, or do some pvp. Seems to me like you have a lot of time on your hands, I'd recommend Darth Plageus its a Star Wars Book about Palpatine's master. Very well done. Otherwise just sit tight and wait for more content to be released. Edited January 29, 2012 by Evray

The only thing I would say to this is that (I also ran the quest to get the upper black rock key, I know my mmo's, im also a vet of UO gaming pre pub16) SW:TOR is easy, not just easy as in time spent but easy on every level. You might remember "cokblocks" in games, one that really springs to mind is Huharan in AQ40, you needed poison resistance to defeat this boss (meatshield team FTW!) and doing the world bosses for PR loot was amazing, especially on a PvP server! Would love to see some of these mechanics in a game that has been released in 2011/12.
LeonBraun
You know, maybe hop on Paragon's site (http://www.paragon.fi/) and ask them what they do when they burn down all WoW's new content in 3 weeks... Being serious here... Just as 90%+ of players in WoW are nowhere near Paragon's level... Most in SWTOR are no where near your level either... That's just how it is... Someone's always gonna be ahead of the curve. Do it again on an alt.
