Class nerfing? or CC nerfing?

I go into any warzone and I don't see any problem with any single classes capabilities. Certainly maybe a tweak here and there. What I do see a problem with is the extreme overload of crowd control in this game. If I enter a warzone I spend 85% of my time stunned. ***? Don't say go use your ability that gets rid of stuns because I do and then it sits on a 2 min cooldown (1:30 with skill points). While it cools down, I just get stunned a million more times. In my opinion, the amount of crowd control in this game is far, FAR too much and widespread that personally it is ruining from the enjoyment of PvP experiences.

 

(Especially Jedi Sages with their mini stun on their spammable telekinetic throw.)

 

Anyone else agree?

I was actually just coming onto the forum to say pretty much exactly this... CC is just appalling, as there is just far too much of it with only 1 escape ability just means if you get caught by 2 people that can literally stun lock you to death. Is diminishing returns even in the game?

 

I'm all for CC but I believe this drastically needs to be looked at as its ruining the experience for me and I Cannot see how I am the only one.

That's a bit of a silly statement to make considering you play on 1 server of many. I have the same issue in all 3 battlegrounds facing both Imps and Reps and I am a Imp so it isn't that the reps are getting mauled by Imps playing a BS class constantly.

This problem largely goes away in two situations:

 

1) If your team is overall decent you will get focused less which will spread CC.

2) At higher levels with better gear and with PVP focused gear your HP means your resolve bar will be useful more often.

I just played a game against Sith, mostly Battlemasters now against zero BM on Rep side, and my HUGE opener everyone is so pissed about (I'm a scoundrel) hit their healer for 890 points. Tried killing that person again later, shield absorbed my entire opener and she was hit for 260 points.

 

So after the nerf I'm going to be less than weak, I'm going to be a joke in WZ's. Not sure how other servers are fairing but we're far outgeared by almost all the Sith teams we go against. PvP isnt' even enjoyable anymore, we're just getting farmed and after my class gets nerfed I really don't think I will be able to stomach 50 rank pvp anymore.

Back to subject of the OP :rolleyes: now that we heard enough from the tread stealers.

 

Yes there is way too much CC, stuns in this game are just horrid. Resolve is a joke and dissipates way to fast.

 

Heres the life of a healer whos been marked: Stun, Stun, break stun, stun, death, stare at force field and rebuff... rinse and repeat.

 

The stun break ability should have a cool down of 30 seconds in PvP and after you have been stunned twice you should have a 1 minute immunity.

 

Resolve does not work as intended I have been stunned upward of 10 seconds at a time, no stun should last more than 3 seconds and all stuns should be broken the minute you take damage in PvP.

 

Stuns should be used to let distance players get their distance and stealth players get off their one big attack. Stuns should not be used to hold players locked down for 10+ seconds and focus slaughter them over and over again.

 

Bioware this is not working it did not work in War Hammer and it wont work here :eek:

 

Just suck it up and say, "ok we were wrong and we are going to change it"!

Trust me you will be happy you did and so will your players.

See, I was all prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're just not that experienced with PvP or MMOs in general, and that you're overwhelmed by it all and simply don't know how to react.

 

Then you sign off with THIS gem;

Which is just blatantly false. If you want people to take you seriously, you need to know what you're talking about.

this would basically make it impossible to stun or cc anybody, which would be bad. Try being a healer and totally unable to stop all the buff stacking mara/sentinels and ops/scoundrels who want to eat your face. You realize that's what you're asking for, right?

resolve does work, it's just that no one understands the various forms of cc and how they affect resolve. Lots of people hit their cc break the second they stop moving or slow down, which is bad.

you're not being "locked down" for more than 10s, and i think 10s is would be about the max and does not happen all that often. The only stuns that last longer than 4s are mezzes which break on damage. If you're using cc break on mezzes without your resolve bar being full, you're bad.
