A question about Social Points in Flashpoints

Recommended Posts

Hey there.

I had a question about how exactly "conversations" are supposed to work whenever you are doing a Flashpoint, and my question is this:

"What exactly determines who wins in a conversation?"

And what I mean is, whenever I am talking with 1 or more guys, I would like to know what determines who's character gets to actually talk, and what does it mean when you get more social points than the last? From what I have seen whenever I do conversations, there are always icons in the bottom left hand corner. These icons have numbers next to them, and it feels like the faster you respond to a situation with the answer, the higher the number is. Does that dictate who answers the NPC as well?

I was just curious. I didn't see information about this on the Codex and would like to know how it works.

The rolls are completely random between 1-100. However if you lose a conversation roll you get a hidden bonus to your next roll (the exact amounts are unknown). This is how people end up over 100 and it helps to mix it up a little in who gets to speak.

Social points wise you get 1pt per group member for selecting an option and 2pts per group member if you are the one that wins the conversation roll
