Anyone else tired of space combat as well?

I feel compelled to do the space combat missions because of the insane amount of credits you receive from them (and if I don't do them, I don't know how I would afford any training of any kind) and by the time I'm done doing them, I don't feel like playing anymore... at least for awhile.

Is anyone else feeling the same way? And how is the rest of the community feeling about space combat?

I play them when bored/have little time to play/waiting for something/someone. Blow em up minigame that passes time and gives me some creds/xp.

Well, I have to say, I'm glad some people enjoy them. I guess I just burned myself out on them. I've habitually done them every day for probably right around 4 weeks.

Maybe I'll take a break, and do what some of you say, and just do them ever once and awhile or when I need the credits.

I dont find space alone fun, but they only last 5 minutes and give good XP. I can hardly stand to do 2 missions in a row but I force myself to do the dailies.

They're kinda pointless at 50 which is sad, I wish they gave more than a couple k in credits or I'd make a habit of doing them more often but as it stands, doing my Ilum dallies has a far better time/reward payout.

lol, same here. I'm lvl 34, so I'm up to... 9 missions... I think? I find it painful.

I have to admit, I'm a little glad to hear that. I think it would be more fun if there was a multiplayer aspect to it. You know, multiple people on one ship or multiple ships in the same mission.

That would certainly be cool, Bioware said they would add more space missions and eventually revamp space as it stands (Didn't go into much detail on it though) so I'm still hopeful something other than a minigame will come out of this.

After playing SWG's space combat and personally customizing every aspect of my ship, it's easy to see how I might be disappointed with how it is currently.

100k credits per hour.

Not too bad.

Can your space combat offer me anything other than credits or useless commendations?

I think they are a pretty good mini-game to add to the game, good job by Bioware. That being said they are just too easy across the board. If you do 1 mission a day or 2 tops while leveling they are fine from what I've seen. I wish I had more freedom though, a lot of the paths choosen add nothing to the excitement of the mission and just general boredom.

Just imagine one player has free roam of traveling, defensive CD's, hyperjumps and evasive maneuvers while they other guy can jump into the gun port and get a first person shooter version of the gun systems :)

Yeah, I played SWG. Even though, I can see the appeal of that, I wasn't a huge fan. However, in Galaxies, you didn't have to do that if you didn't want to. And doing space stuff really only got you more space stuff (and a nice amount of credits, of course).
