Mods numbering system

This could be the biggest newb question ever, but I've reviewed threads and done my own in game research to see if I could get a solution for myself to no avail.

Is there a correlation between the mod level in my Cybertech crafting tool and the actual number that is shown when the mod is slotted?

I.E. I create a reflex armor plate 8, when its slotted it ends up showing Armor (22) when I look at the slotted piece of armor. Is there a way to correlate the two without actually slotting it.

I really just don't want to have to do an inventory screen, armor slot, cybertech crafting screen juggle just to find out if the armor pieces I just crafted is better or worse than the slotted ones.

thanks.

Been curious about this myself. It's currently a pain in the butt trying to compare what's slotted with what's in your inventory other than the hover over stat comparison. It's possible, sure, but it would be easier to have some sort of matching system.

I think i've seen that the number which appear after its slotted is the required level to equip/use the item +1

So an armoring or mod whatevers required level is 39 the number shown when its slotted in gear would be 40.

Some of the mods and enhancements in operation gear are mislabeled or possibly bugged.

For example:

Advanced Mettle Mod 25A (56) = +34 Endurance +57 Willpower +10 Critical Rating

Advanced Mettle Mod 25A (58) = +37 Endurance +61 Willpower +11 Criting Rating

Advanced Initiative Enhancement 24 (56) = +23 Endurance +34 Power +48 Accuracy Rating

Advanced Battle Enhancement 25 (56) = +23 Endurance +34 Critical Rating +48 Surge Rating

Advanced Volition Enhancement 25 (58) = +24 Endurance +37 Critical Rating +51 Alacrity Rating
