Pawnzer
As a pre lvl 50 we are only allowed to own 1 champion bag and then cap at 1000 of each type of commendations. Why are we punished for trying to save up gear so when we hit 50 we have a chance and are not cannon fodder for those with expertise gear? I know alot of people are making alts so they can pvp in the 10-49 bracket so why not allow us to save up bags or more commendations than the 1000 limit? I for one would continue to pvp at 50 if this were allowed because i would have expertise as soon as i hit 50. So is bioware planning on doing this or do they have a 'good' reason for this low cap? Youmu
The limits are pretty good incentive to get people out from the L10-49 bracket and into the L50 bracket, methinks. Unless people enjoy wasting their comms. Edited January 27, 2012 by Youmu

Unless people enjoy wasting their comms. The gear from the bags is all Level 50 anyway, so even if I opened a dozen of them at Level 49, I wouldn't benefit. There is no purpose that I can see for the the Champion Bags being unique. I'm sure BW had a reason for it, but I cannot imagine what it can be. Cheeseblaster
the 1000 cap is pretty annoying and i'm only level 28. I don't need the armor/weapons I can buy with commendations at that level, so basically now that i've hit 1000 merc and warzone comms.. I have no reason to play PVP (well OK besides it a lot more exciting that Tatoinne) Seems like a disincentive to me.. DarthBloodloss
One thing it does is encourage you to do your class quest to level up, instead of leveling via PvP. If you could save bags, it would be best to just get your ship and then level the rest of the way via PvP. You could save all bags and have like 50 champion bags saved by the time you hit 50. They prolly dont want to encourage that, hence the current rules.
cycao
my guess if that if there was not a limit to the bags i would not have bothered with my story and just grind comms to have just a crazy amount of bags in my possession when i hit 50 the system makes sense only issue is the RNG

Pawnzer
But as of right now people enjoy 10-49 pvp more, so if we could amass bags then as we hit 50 people would stay instead of rerolling an alt so they don't get destroyed by ppl in expertise gear. As for the Class story line people will still do it, leveling solely from pvp takes a long time as of lvl 27 i only get 10k from a warzone were i need 150k to level so i will still do my class quest, just skip on some of the side missions. DaftFett
If you save 1k of each and a bag already when you hit 50, then you will be starting with opening 6 bags,Thats a decent start.

You dont need to be good at PvP to get bags. You can get a bag every day by losing a bunch of warzones and just buying it with commendations. 3 days out of the week, grind it out and finish 3 dailys and the weekly. Plus buy a bag each day. Thats like 8 bags a week minimum on only 3 days. Before you know it, you might start enjoying PvP.

It seems good but on my main i've gone trough 15 bags without a piece of any gear so it could be useful or completely useless.
Codename_Quincy
i don't think there should be a cap. even if i saved up 400 bags (if i magically found a place to store 400 bags i mean) the possibility exists that i could come away with 1200 tokens and no gear. jfs

Talizzar
What my guild is doing as lower levels is buying the consumables with the Merc Comms when you approach 1000. Why the limit of 1000? Why not just let players save up as much as they want? They are cannot be traded. What they should have done is given your all your best abilities by doing your class quests. Just another example of the lack of thought put into the PVP system. If they has put in a 1/4 of the time on PVP that they spent on the class quests we might actually have a decent system. I think they got the current system by chosing Door #2.
Pawnzer
so far all this system does is not allow me to play my character the way i wish to play it, be completely useless when i hit 50 in pvp, and make my pvping at lower lvls useless because there is nothing of use to buy, i mean i'm lvling biochem so buying a ton of adrenals and pots is useless. Pawnzer
oooh no! I have to progress in a video game at the appropriate tier! Progressing along the normal tiers is pretty much broken when t2 items are easier to get than the t1 items.
