Daren- Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 First of all why all bosses in hardmode flashpoints drop piece of epic gear? i remember when in wow instances only last boss dropped epic gear. It simply made people run flashpoints for longer time and give them time to do something when they hit lvl 50. Its simply too easy to get geared up with full purple gear and get offspec at the same time when you are after main spec gear. I like to get first my main spec gear to full epic and then start grinding for offspec gear.. But they make it so easy in this game that u have very good chanse to get offspec gear even when you are doing hardmode fps to get main gear. I simply had full purple gear after running 15-20 flashpoints. And too many purple offspec gear. And whats up with you getting purple pve relics from pvp bags? shudnt pve and pvp gear be sperated and gain by doing pve for getting pve gear and so on. And tbh when you get full columni gear its not even that of a big difference to improve it for rakata. Difference is so tiny specially for bh tanks, since tanking rakata gear has so many lvl 58 enchantemnts that have accuracy on it, i simply dont need accuracy and i replace lvl 58 accuracy enchantemnt with lvl 49 epic enchantemnt that gives me shield, absord or defense chanse rating. if Bw made 1 epic gear drop from one hardmode and made fps more and even harder to do, and normal operations to drop only good amount of cash and mounts and not epic gear i wud have something to do in this game in terms of grinding main spec gear and offspec gear after i get mainspec gear
bladechaser Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 ok to be honest i see your point .. but stop comparing this game to wow .. that is all

Quynhdolin Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) maybe it is too easy, but i'm sure they will add harder flashpoints and ops later on. i think you're ahead of most players though. a lot of us are still having trouble finding a guild to even raid with and then after that, a slot that's available for us on raid nights. you could always create an alt and gear up all over again. Uruare Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) This is a game that very specifically encourages and rewards creating and investing time in alts. A lot of alts. While we do not know what the Legacy system's rewards and benefits will be at this time outside some very broad statements made by the developers, we do know those benefits are coming, are tied to Legacy level and that developing (and yes, playing to the point of endgame gearing) a fair few alts is clearly encouraged behaviour on any given server by that system. While it may be easier on a single character to gear up...for the emphasis and encouragement to play alts and explore several storylines, it makes sense. It would be very, very dull if we had to spend 6 months after hitting 50 banging out HM's like clockwork on a more or less daily basis just to...be at the same point we can now get to in 2-4 weeks and happily move on to an alt if we wish. Our 50's will still be there to roll around on with all of their gear. Future content will almsot certainly come down the pipe that knocks the absolute best gear currently existent down the ladder a bit and replaces it at the top too. That's the gear game. You're never finished for long whether you have one character or eight. Though you might get bored and wonder why if you play it like WoW and only invest serious effort into one character. Whether that's what you're doing or not, OP, I couldn't say. What I can say to that end is that I have, at this time, 4 50's, a 21, a 16 and a 7 on my home server, and I'm already daunted at the prospect of even trying to find the time to keep more than maybe two of those 50's geared anywhere close to top-end. I'll probably still be stuck with focusing such efforts on one despite how much easier it is to do so here than the other raidy-geargrindy game. Edited January 27, 2012 by Uruare
