Wotch
Anyone else find the story to obtain Ashara to be horribly underwhelming? I felt that she was making life altering decisions to completely change her morality and allegiance after only a few words. Me: "Oh i think you should join me as a sith" Ashara: "Oh I don't know.... OK I will be your apprentice."
TheVoidStalker
Yep, it's pretty terrible. Her Jedi buddies attack me and get killed in self-defense. This is apparently enough for her to throw away her entire life of Jedi training and join up with the Sith Empire. That's good training.
danielweberdlc
I was really disappointed in it as well, which is too bad because I actually kind of like Ashara how she is. Edited January 28, 2012 by danielweberdlc
livnthedream
how much did you actually play around with the dialogue options? did you just hit the obvious ls/ds option and plow through or did you actually mess with the story a bit? if you actually play around with the options a bit you convince her, of her own free will mind you, to kill her potential assassin. Stevefin
the story of getting her really only makes sense if you manipulated her, the shocking way, is very forced, both for you and her
tchad
I actually was rushing to get her as I was hoping for a really cool encounter. I didn't play my SI for a week after - it was so underwhelming. I choose all the options I could to delve into it. in the end it was very meh. evileeyore
the story of getting her really only makes sense if you manipulated her, the shocking way, is very forced, both for you and her Disagree. I shocked her, forced her, used her, kicked her to curb when I was done, and let her know along the whole way that she was just a means to an end. If you go that route, she joins you out of fear. Fear that she'll be hunted by her former colleagues, fear that she has no where to go, fear that she'll be rudderless and adrift, fear of the unknown, but not fear of you. In short, though I treated her badly I was truthfull with her, hid nothing, and straight up gave her a glimpse of what unbridled power could be. With you she knows where she stands and what is expected of her. With you she has more discipline than the Jedi could ever evoke from her. With you she has a clear path to power with little to no rules to burden her. These are things she never had with the Jedi.
