Selout
Not sure if this has been posted already but I came across an interview with Gabe Amatangelo by that Cynical Brit guy in which he quite clearly says that scrapper dmg was mistakenly too high and outside their "formula" for all the classes. He goes so far to say that the 1.1.1 changes aren't a nerf per se. Rather, they are fixing data errors of some sort... which seems about right to me. is the video and skip ahead to 9:37 for the scrapper/conceal convo. O, and before people say, "Blah blah blah, you are probably some PvE player this and that." Valor 64 on a really active server, mostly Battlemaster w/ a few champ (stupid drops), with years of PvP experience playing with the same team/group. Good work Bioware. 2 months in and already fixing glaring PvP issues. Keep it up, there are other issues that need attention... I'm sure you know that though. Andreasus
Any why are 2 skills in my medicine tree broken and no one patch this?
AdmiralOnasi
They already balanced the class, it was called patch 1.1.
Selout
PVP issues? Then why was my PVE affected so badly? The way he worded it scapper/conceal dmg is within the acceptable range for pve post 1.1.1 but no class is woefully underpowered so I imagine if it's too much of a change, they'll adjust it. thecoffeecup
Without even arguing about the fairness, I'll call it what it is: a nerf. Data error? You make it sound like it's an actual fault in the program that needed to be fixed. It's just a formula they made up themselves anyway, there's nothing holy about it. By the way, the interview is pretty vague about how the balancing actually goes on. Clearly the PvP team applies a formula, but what happens afterwards is unknown. The interviewer decides to agree instead of asking a follow-up questing, leaving us as much in the dark as we were before. No offense to mr. Halibut of course. I did enjoy his Cataclysm preview videos. Edited January 27, 2012 by thecoffeecup
