Making Social Armor More Useful

I'd love to run around in one of the space pilot suits while adventuring, but every social armor in the game is light armor. It's orange, has full equipment slots, but because of it's light rating it'll never be useful to 3/4 of the classes outside of a cantina.

I do understand the reasoning behind making all the social armors light, as default, so everyone can wear them, but they just aren't worth while to classes that need medium or heavy armor in the field.

Please make some kind of plugin slot (like armor plate/mods/etc) that lets the player modify the social armor's rating to medium or heavy armor.

/agree !

Honestly, I think any set which doesn't say "Restricted to Inquisitor" or some other class should have this.

Armor classes in the game right now are an unnecessary restriction.

Honestly, it might be a little weird, but I'd almost prefer a system where everybody can wear any armor, and its rating light/medium/heavy would change to whatever your class supported. It doesn't make the most sense, but really, is a little extra padding going to do much against blaster fire? It would open up a lot more customization. Anything which needs to be restricted lore wise can just get a "___ class only" tag.

I see Bounty Hunters going around wearing Juggernaut armor because they can wear heavy, but Marauders aren't allowed to wear it? How does that make sense? Marauders are a SITH WARRIOR.

Also, it would help with flagrant oversights such as

THERE IS NO MARAUDER GEAR AT THE LIGHT OR DARK SIDE VENDORS.

:eek::(:mad:

I would like to see it look the part of what it is.

Slave outfit light

trooper heavy

flight suit medium?

it is social gear and I got slave one for Jaesa to run around in but I do not want to mistake a Jug for a Sorc because of gear

I say they make social gear match its look and more of it
