When are they going to start banning ppl for this? Really frustrating when playing on an imbalanced server and busting your butt off to win. The odds are already against the republic and the those cheating bastards STILL pull this off on void star in particular.

 

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that something is up when they plant the bomb on the last door 10 seconds after busting through the second to last door (force fields are still up for some odd reason).

 

I just don't get it. You farmed the **** out of Ilum and exploited it. Then now they are cheating like crazy in pretty much every WZ. Out geared, out populated and out cheated makes for an awsome pvp experience.

 

And yes, I do need to l2p and spell correctly to beat you to it.

Seriously, there are some bugs with the game that allow SOME of what you described, but the force field thing - remember to check the one furthest away from the entrance to the door... I stealth to that one EVERY time and generally can get it down without any resistance only because it takes peeps too long to get to me before I can open it. Sometimes I can get the bomb on the left door just after because nobody is paying any attention... I imagine it's quite a surprise! BUT... not using any hacks - only my abilities (stealth & force run) to do it.

Tell me about it. Two were on infinity gate last night... They capped all the turrents in cw before the match began, went inside the cap points so no one could hit and still cap the turrents whenever and of course speed hacks. The funny thing is we still managed to beat them in huttball 6-5. They were able to grab the ball, run to the goal and back before the ball spawned again.

Actually this happens all the time. But please, continue to wear your rose colored glasses and pretend like competitive PvP isn't bugged to ****.

You can't win a void star in 1.5 minutes with your stealth and force speed.

Going to ask, are there tickets being submitted about these or just postings like this on the forums? Usually when you post a ticket about someone (naming them in the ticket) with an appropriate eye catching title to the ticket, you will get a GM pretty darn fast.

 

If tickets are not being submitted to report these players that are doing this, and that is every one of them you come across, then you are just as much of the problem as the ones that created the issue.

True... I was addressing only one part. I'm sure there's something going on - I have not yet seen it (valor 56), but I've seen vids of it happening.

I took a screenie the last wz I played and targeted the players and what not standing at the last door (two of them). See what happens to the ticket.

 

To me this is a perma ban offence. Wipe their *********** accounts.

 

I've submitted probably 10 tickets on this issue with the canned "we are looking into it" response. Expect to see similar treatment.

 

Personally I think they may be worried about the subscriber numbers and so aren't willing to ban accounts for hacking on more or less any occasion.

Haha... did I say it wasn't bugged? Nope, just explaining one part about how it CAN happen legitimately... the only bugs I've seen are the early plants (youtube it) and the stealthed door plants (which you probably can't do anymore unless you do the first thing I mentioned).

 

By the way, you can't call PvP in this game competitive. Please.

There is no way you can run down open the force field and plant the bomb on the last a door before I even get down to the first force field. There is no way you can open the bridge and be half way across it before I make it down to the bridge. Not when I go through the door the same time it blows. **** like that.

 

It's not hard to download a speed hack and go 500% of your normal speed. But why? It's not like imps vs repblic isn't a slaughter fest as is. I played for 4 hours yesterday and won 3 (only 2 counted of course). Then to be insulted by those *** wipes cheating makes me crush my god damn keyboard.

Clever use of in game mechanics (Ilum trade farming) and exploiting using process memory injection for speedhacks are two entirely separate entities.

 

The chest farming that people were doing that recently got patched, they didn't ban the players who were "abusing" the in game functionality, nor did they take gear away from people. Should they have?

 

Yes, Cheating is cheating but, you can't blame the players for being clever and finding these things the dev team should have found initially.

Actually from what I have read, the devs have not even implemented the anti-cheat software yet. There are more than a few websites out there that have written working cheats and hacks for this game already.

Because its policy in every mmo not to give the details of actions taken on any account to others. People who use cheat programs do indeed get banned.

Alright, so when someone finds a way to easily open your garage door and steal your car; it's your fault right? For not having a fault tolerant garage door?

 

A regular person would ring your door bell and let you know that your garage door was ****. These *********** *** wipes abuse the **** out of things. That is a bannable offence. If you find a flaw you REPORT it. If you ABUSE it then you should be perma banned.

 

I DO blame people for abusing flaws. It's their actions and they CHOOSE to abuse it.

You couldn't even control your toon if you moved that fast. Just doesn't make any sense. Any why would someone cheat so blatantly? The entire other team would report them and they would get banned so fast.

 

Its not like you control your toons movement on your own local machine, that type of stuff is tracked server side. If somehow things dont match up, it raises flags.

The only server side values are Credit, price of stuff and XP. You can hack your speed with something as basic as cheat engine because this game has absolutely no hack protection at all. It's easier to hack this game than flash games on newgrounds or kongregate

Movement is typically done client side. You send your coords and the direction you are facing to the server. That's why you can walk when the connection drops. If you required comminucation with the server to move it would lead to a pretty crappy experience (lag).

 

They could however fix this easily;

if(speed>120% /* or whatever max is, something which is not a constant stored in same memory location every damn time */) { SendToServer("lolz, i'm a kid cheating"); };

 

Or just use the gosh darn operating system which HAS the ability to store things at random places in memory so you can't just change these things so easily.
