va_wanderer
(Yes, I know this gets brought up from time to time. But it should be darn near stickied!) Now, as a Trooper the reflex is to look straight at the nearest bit of +Aim/+End Trooper orange gear on that vendor or GTM console and go "Hey, that's for me". Well, don't. We share a lot of heavy armor with Jedi Knights-, which means as long as it's orange, all you need to do is plug in the appropriate armoring/mods/enhancements and suddenly, you don't have to look like a Clone Wars extra anymore or feel like you're the lord of the Rainbow Armor Set. Check the piece, as long as it doesn't say "Jedi Knight only" (or some other class), you're good. CTRL-Left Click those heavy armor pieces. The look you save will be your own. Sharee
Funny thing is, jedi knights are saying the same thing reversed: wear trooper gear, you'll look good!
va_wanderer
Funny thing is, jedi knights are saying the same thing reversed: wear trooper gear, you'll look good! The mix is actually pretty darn nice- at 31, I've got the Tattooine heavy armor Jedi-style chest piece with the rest of my armor being standard trooper pieces, which happen to also be green-detailed. I like the results. We really don't do bad mixing our chocolate with JK peanut butter.
va_wanderer
Let me add this in, as a "thing to come" http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=1398252#edit1398252 They're going to allow people to pull the mods from endgame gear and have the set bonuses go with them- which should let you keep the look you like even once you're running around taking out the biggest of BBEG's. At that point, any orange/purple gear you want to mix and match will be fine, you'll just have to plug in appropriate mods to go with them. Gabriah
I thought the JK armor was medium instead of heavy. If I understood it correctly, putting armor mods into custom medium armor will only gave 2/3 the armor stats as putting the same mod into custom heavy armor. Am I mistaken? The problem there is that you're talking about 2 classes. For one, the Sentinel, you're correct. For the other, the Guardian, you are not.
