KINRAD
I have a level 32 Shadow with the speeder license. I know that there is an upgrade at 40, and again at 50 ( I think ), and that new abilities become progressively more expensive. I currently have just shy of 200,000 credits, am I on track, or do I need to start grinding for credits?
Jybwee
you have 8 lvls to save an extra 10k if you want lvl 2 speeder piloting.. pretty sure your ok
RedJoker
dont forget the 25 to something something k you need for the speeder itself. but still, that should be easily manageable unless you become addicted to crew skills... also also, dont forget the huge amount of money you will have to sink into eight levels of skill-upgrades. KINRAD
Is there a list somewhere of the costs of being trained for each thing? I could check in game obviously, but I would have to be at home to do that.
Faldaith
if i were you i would use that money for skills/crewskills and purchase your upgraded speeder license when you are 50. 10% speedincrease is nothing, compared to the joy of fully ranked skills
nethervoid
I think what he means is he wants to train his skills and have enough for the speeder at 40. If you aren't spending on crew missions and stuff from the galactic exchange then I think you'll be fine (if you only need 250k for the license and the speeder). Personally I spend too much on getting the biochem reusable potions and stuff. lol
jtzako
You should be fine if you arent spending credits on Crew Missions or buying from vendors/GTN. I personally dont buy the level 40 speeder license til 50 then just buy both at that time.
nethervoid
How much is the lv 50 license?
KINRAD
That sounds like a plan, I'll stick with my STAP and 90% increase, and get both of them at 50 then. I definitely want to make sure I have enough to cover all my new abilities and I know they just keep costing more! Thanks guys.
nethervoid
I googled the costs for licenses. Are these still accurate? "second speeder license at level 40. (210,000 credits) ... third speeder license at level 50. (330,000 credits)"

I went pretty heavy on the crew-quests and the odd AH-item to where in my low 30's I wasn't do a whole lot past breaking even after purchasing each given set of level. It wasn't until I was basically 36 or so that I actually shut down spending to save up and upon hitting 40 I had just enough for the training but not the speeder, then a couple bars into 40 to pick up the speeder. So really they pile up quick, if you have basically enough now you should be fine.

jtzako
I had about 1.5 million saved up by 50 even though I did not sell anything on GTN and had maxed out all 3 of my crew skills. The credits really start to roll in 40+.
Killer_Wonka
Unless you are in a major hurry I would not bother with Speeder Piloting 2 and 3 use your money wisely for other things. I have gotten by with Piloting 1 all the way to 50 and I don't think its even worth spending major credits for a skill anyways. Lets look at this way. If you go to a new job do you pay for your training? NO So faction skills being charged by credits to me is just ridiculous. Tell me the Empire and Republic can not afford to pay my skills and other small items? Cause to be truthful and I know its still early but I would rather spend my credits with other things like crafting and on my companions. just my two cents. (I know some WoW ex player has something to say about this) I don't care how they did it in WoW this is Star Wars get over it.
