CrimsonFire Posted January 25, 2012 Share Posted January 25, 2012 The problem is that older tech (read engines) tend to put more load on the CPU which comparitively will give you more fps drops than the same load on the GPU. So unfortunately this is why we're experiencing the extreme lag in larger PvP happenings. It's usually AI or other players that causes it, all those numbers need to be calculated. I rather suggest a slight OC than a new videocard if you have a 5870 at this point. As you say you run fine in normal areas. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Celusios Posted January 26, 2012 Share Posted January 26, 2012 Well thats good news for you. What card did you have before the upgrade? I had a crappy 2006-7 card... an ASUS Nvidia 8800 GTS.
