Antibak Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 My Tele. Sage recently ran a Teral V Hard Mode with a Gunslinger. I was getting so many canceled spell casts from LOS issues that the the only thing I could attribute it too was when the gunslinger was slightly in front of me and very close or side by side and very close and perhaps using a cover shield? Is it possible that this shield could cause a LOS for other ranged DPS'ers??? Anyone ever noticed a similar issue?? I know Teral V has alot of LOS issues anyways but in places where there were no problems before with LOS this was a new problem and the main variable was the added Gunslinger to our regular group. P.S. Apologies if this is old news but a regular and advanced searches came up with no similar posts. Thanks for any "constructive" feedback!!!
nezroy Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Generally speaking, LOS in this game seems pretty good (which is to say, fairly accurate, geometrically speaking). You notice that a lot as a cover class in general, or as a tank for ranged pulls too (the only issues being a bit of "awareness delay" on the part of NPCs). Anyway, point being, it would not surprise me at all if the game is treating the agent/smug cover shield as just another object providing LOS obstruction based on the regular rules that seem to apply to all the static objects. But, I mean, really it should be a fairly simple thing to test out...
