OnlyOneWing Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Since I've been playing I found PvP to be the weakest link in an otherwise great game. It starts when you queue for PvP to begin with... You cannot even select which warzones you want to enter, it's completely random! Why? Half the time I enter a warzone & people leave as soon as the match starts and the game is forfeited! Then the "Enter" box pops up... asking me if I want to enter "a" warzone.... Bioware still felt like they had to keep the warzone a secret, so they surprise us with Huttball every other warzone! Then finally a match of Huttball begins... and my whole team is lvl11 while the enemies whole team is lvl 35+... but supposedly it doesn't matter too much because all of the stats I've worked so hard to customize have been altered completely... But it still matters because lvl40 players have a completely different skillsent than lvl 11 players. I didn't like WoW very much at all, but at least they didn't give me a generic/random PvP match that ruined my character's stats.
TradewindNQ Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I'd like to point out that the majority of the PvP content is being headed up by Mythic, not specifically BioWare.
akavari Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 PVP has always taken a back seat in most mmo's I do agree they should allow you to que for specific battlegrounds though i am tired of getting huttball over and over.

I would definitely prefer to know what warzone I'm getting myself into before I accept. Sometimes I just don't feel like hutball, so when a huttball games comes up, I just exit out. Kind of a waste of time and if enough peple do that, it becomes a waste of time for the people who do enjoy huttball because the game gets forfeited.
OnlyOneWing Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 I don't blame people for leaving. Some times I am tempted to leave myself... but then that means that I waited behind 2 load screens for nothing... and I could always use a few more commendation points. I am on a RP-PvE server
TradewindNQ Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I am on a RP-PvE server At the risk of sounding like a douche... "There's the problem."
OnlyOneWing Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 At the risk of sounding like a douche... "There's the problem." All douchiness aside. How is that the problem?
TradewindNQ Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 You're expecting a stronger Warzone experience from a base of players one could infer have chosen that server type to avoid instanced PvP entirely.
Iret Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 this whole thread is pointless considering the dude is NOT playing on a PvP server. seriously some of these threads of kids posting crap is getting old.
Vessell Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 LOL at anyone that thinks playing on a pvp server makes them a better pvp player in this game.
TradewindNQ Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 LOL at anyone that thinks playing on a pvp server makes them a better pvp player in this game. Who's saying that?

That's really funny, PvP is the only redeeming factor about this game for me atm.
Hydrott Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Stat padding is garbage and it shouldve never made it past the early alpha stages of the game. They should just remove the whole thing and give us simple brackets.
deathxiix Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I'd like to point out that the majority of the PvP content is being headed up by Mythic, not specifically BioWare. Mythic is horrible. They killed Warhammer, there killing SWTOR. I will never buy another game that they dabble in again.
Dodger-San Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 You're expecting a stronger Warzone experience from a base of players one could infer have chosen that server type to avoid instanced PvP entirely. When we started we were told that a PvP server ment it was a open fight fest everywhere execpt safe zones... So I decided to go PvE with the option of having PvP games (warzones). So... there is a reason we went PvE and still wanted some PvP content.
OnlyOneWing Posted January 24, 2012 Author Posted January 24, 2012 The reason why I went PvE is because I've played MMOs where higher lvls are constantly killing lower lvls and groups constantly run around *************** players. I don't want to deal with PvP my whole experience, but I want to be able to enjoy it properly and fairly when I do want to do it. That is actually what most players prefer when you consider that PvP servers are a minority.

Well then you should know that while leveling you dont see a soul of the other faction even as my republic i didnt see ANYONE in contested zones it seems like the game doesnt want you to see the other faction at all

So I walked up to them and kicked their butt, other than that though you are correct. The only times I've seen Imps in contested zones was when either I was flagged and they attacked me or visa-versa. Again, last night I had to PvP to get some commendations for armor.... literally I did five rounds of huttball back to back!
