Neverdyne
Moving and resizeing the standard frames is nice and all. But, you see, I like my frames to have this very specific border, on a form of a grid, that light up this very specific way, and show debuffs as little color squares precisely on this place. Well, that's A LOT that I'm asking, isn't it? The developers surely can't please a million player's specific needs! Where would they find the time to do so?!? BUT HEY! DON'T WORRY! I'LL DO IT FOR YOU, DEVS! Just let me make my own addons! You won't have to work on making my perfect UI, I'll do it myself. We'll make SWTOR's UI perfect for each individual, for every necessity and preference. Just give us the freedom to do it!

Rhyn
NO thanks. I am fine with resizing and moving things around. Just give me target of target and a combat log with it and i will be very happy.
ShaftyMcShaft
+1 Also combat logs and DPS meters to help identify bads.
thasaint
Not necessarily addons, but we need a threat meter, combat log, extra action bars, customizable buff icons and cooldown icons (how the animate the cooldown on your bar and with your buffs). Target of target, target of target's target, focus. Yeah nevermind I doubt Bioware is even capable of all of that, I mean jeez they didn't have those in the 1990's MMO's... darkdayze
oh god no...please no....no addons.... and believe it or not...I'm perfectly happy without combat logs. Edited January 20, 2012 by darkdayze
Larwax
+1 Also combat logs and DPS meters to help identify bads. I consider anyone who calls people "bads" to be exactly that.
DrkCntry
+1 Also combat logs and DPS meters to help identify bads. And that's exactly why we don't need addons...because people arbitrarily label other players instead of, you know, actually helping them.
Kahrain
Agree. I can shuffle stuff around till the cows come home, but in the end all I have is a UI that does not do what I want it to do. I'm growing on the idea of pandas. Kung-Fu Panda was a fun movie to watch.
Glowrod
WoW already has all of that. You could go play that instead. This game is just fine.
TheHiddey
UI Customization is not enough, we want Addons. Fixed that for ya.
Blackavaar
Opening up the game to third party add-ons opens up the game to cheats, hacks, bots and viruses. I don't think it's a good idea.

Sindorin
Leave it as is, and add in customization and resizing. Don't add combat logs or threat meters. I don't want this game to be /faceroll easy please.

plosky
Already have the first 3. Lol wat? No. Only bots right now, and not that many at that.
Heliotic
I'll be happy with 'mods' as long as all they do is display information. Nothing to make the game easier (ie: nothing that shows you the top 5 people who need healing and let you click on them to heal).
TheHiddey
+1 Also combat logs and DPS meters to help identify bads. Both fo which are already coming. And you don't need meters to see who isn't pulling their weight, unless you're a "bad" yourself.

Ronamo
Opening up the game to third party add-ons opens up the game to cheats, hacks, bots and viruses. I don't think it's a good idea. No, it doesn't.
ShaftyMcShaft
And that's exactly why we don't need addons...because people arbitrarily label other players instead of, you know, actually helping them. Can't help you if I don't know how much DPS you're doing. Played WoW last week on the LFR system. Group wiped to enrage on Ultraxion. Look at the DPS meters...oh look 4 dpsers are pulling 6k DPS when there's no excuse not to be doing at least 20k. Replace them and the boss dies. Yaaaah! The only reason not to want DPS meters is so you can hide your poor performance from others.
