Light/Dark side grouping

One question...

When in a group conversation with a NPC, when a have dialog choice with light/dark side point, what happens if one choose a light option and other a dark option?

For exemple, I choose a LP option and my friend a DP option, and in the end I won the roll, he'll also gain LP or he'll gain DP (or maybe nothing?)

You gain points based on the choices you personally make in the conversation, not on the outcome.

The choice that wins the roll will dictate the path of the quest/story but whatever personal choice you made you'll get the LS/DS points for depending on what you picked and regardless of what won.

Yea, you need not worry about your light/dark side alignment changing because of conversation choices someone else made. Only your own choices affect your points.

Other people's choices can just affect what story outcome you're going to see.

You can abstain from a choice if you would like to guarantee you see a conflicting choice without gaining points. For example:

 

 

When my dark jedi shadow was in Esseles, I was with 3 light side players that had never seen the engineering crew get vented into space. I chose this dark side option, and they just waited out the voting timer. I win the vote automatically, and they get to cackle gleefully without the burden of darkside votes or hoping I won the rolloff.
