OmegaMCG
I've now see two threads about the stock downgrade get closed because it's not relevant to SWTOR? I'm sorry but that news item IS relevant and appropriate to these boards since the reason cited for the stock downgrade is because of the analyst's position on the performance of SWTOR as a product in the marketplace. You're kind of showing your own insecurity by spam closing those threads.
Nytak
Dow sitting over 11,000.. unemployment sitting at 8.5% or more... Yeah, stock markets are totally an indicator.. Perhaps you should look up what a Ponzi scheme is, then take a hard look at the stock markets.

Most analysts give positive ratings on EA, and it has a consistent mean distribution on buy vs sell. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ao?s=EA+Analyst+Opinion Oh, and Analysts revise their stock and earnings outlooks on stocks ALL THE TIME, both up and down. It means nothing really, except to institutional buyers. Edited January 19, 2012 by Andryah

Valhakar
If some yahoo comes into my bar and starts telling everyone my drinks suck ( an analysis of my bar-tending ), guess where his happy *** is going to be. On the street and out of my bar. This is their property.

mcfabulous
I'm glad their stock is dipping, and no not because I dislike EA even though they do ruin everything they buy and make just aweful sports games. Best time to buy is when its down. Once they reveal the sub numbers (based on the number decisions will be made ofc) I'll buy some stock and make some easy cash. PjPablo
I love all the armchair analysts on this thread trying to explain how the markets and stocks work. Market is up today, EA is down due to analyst downgrade. Has concerns over initial sales and sub churn. His opinion. Other analysts think it worse, some think it's better. Only time will tell. OmegaMCG
exactly this is why they shouldn't close these threads. I'm not saying a stock downgrade means doom for the company...all companies goes through ups and downs on the stockmarket, but by continuing to close the threads as being irrelevant when the news item itself cites this game makes it appear they fear the news. My only point is that it IS a relevant news item to THIS game and thus shouldn't be closed.

imtrick
I've now see two threads about the stock downgrade get closed because it's not relevant to SWTOR? And it's not. Whether the stock goes up or down, it's not relevant in the least toward the game. It's certainly not relevant if one analyst out of many has an opinion that's different than some of the others. I wouldn't think it was relevant if people were posting the positive ones (which, as far as I can see, outnumber the negative ones, but trolls don't like good news). If you can explain what direct connection a single analyst's opinion has on the actual game, I'll change my mind on this. Until then, there's absolutely no relevance to the game I'm playing that I can see at all.
