Hoodlumpriest
Remove pvp stats and pvp gear. When you enter a pvp zone you all have the same gear/stats relative to your class. It wont solve faction imbalance but will remove other issues. Im a very average pvp'er but i always thought pvp was meant to be about fighting and fun. How much fun is ganking underpowered people anyways, unless you have self-worth issues absolutely NONE

JackKerras
A lot of folks love ganking! It's sadism. It's fun. And on the Internet there are no repercussions to taking actions like these, except that they erode the health of a community of which they are a part. If someone is a giant ******e at a LAN party you can just slap them or toss them out on their ear for mucking up everyone else's good time. On the Internet, not so much, except in extreme cases. PvP solution isn't to flatten out everyone's stats, it's to put systems in place that make bad players just start to play better by following the carrots. Right now, all the carrots are dangling over 'do as much damage as possible', which on Alderaan or in The Pit is basically the worst thing you can do. Improved carrots, improved gameplay from the huge majority of PvP queuers who can't be arsed to gain an understanding of the gametype, improved games for everyone. Baddies are still bad, but if you led 'em by the nose a little they might at least stand in the right place or make a clutch punt or catch once in a while. Juicenewtonz
If you want a game where everyone is on a level playing field you should play an fps or a fighting game. MMOs are about character progression

He's an absolutely staggering PvPer, excellent player overall, and he's pretty good at getting between 'me' and '******es'. So I ain't far from that! ...although in this example, I actually -owned- the LAN center. I only ever had to employ his help to put one person out on their ear, but boy it felt nice. What a dickbag that dude was.
Fireline
If you want a game where everyone is on a level playing field you should play an fps or a fighting game. MMOs are about character progression This is very short sighted, not every form os character progression has to be mor power. Take a look at GW1, the playing field in the battlegrounds is equalized in stats, the rewards you get from PvP is more skill points and such so u can make builds that fit ur playstyle more. There isnt a gear grind there for pvp, yet its considered one of the best competitive pvp RPG games(wont call it MMO because it isnt, but battlegrounds is not much diff than TOR), although really hard to get initiated in.
