Combat delay was NOT fixed

seriously? You guys are more worried about putting new content out than fixing this GAME BREAKING bug?

 

Why do I have a feeling in two weeks you are going to come out and say this is how the game was intended to be played, just like you did for the hi res textures

 

 

 

I had such high hopes.

This was not one of the things scheduled for a fix in this patch. They know about the issue, but don't have a fix yet. There have been a few dev posts about it.

 

And seriously, game-breaking? It's annoying, I'll give you that, but you're exaggerating.

Where did they say that it was fixed? I see that they said several, not all. Also, combat delay isnt an issue with all people. Patience, Im sure that they will get to it soon.

It is game breaking though. If you lose even once because ability delay in the game engine that's too much. But we're not even talking about a hiccup here and there. We're talking about

It is game breaking though. If you lose even once because ability delay in the game engine that's too much. But we're not even talking about a hiccup here and there. We're talking about

OK, I believe you, but I've seen the bug a million times and I wouldn't have called it anything more than an annoyance. The game is still very playable. I guess our definitions of "game-breaking" are just vastly different.

if abilities not going off when pressed is not game breaking, id love to see what you think is. its literally broke. you press an ability and it doesnt go off. i dont know how you can defend that

But it effects the outcome of pvp matches. The devs plan on implementing an arena like pvp combat but you literally can't have that type of combat with this game engine.

 

It feels like playing with playdoh when it should be crisp.

Yes, it's a bug. It happens.

 

It doesn't prevent you from playing the game or progressing in it, which is generally the definition of "game-breaking."

 

I'm not defending it, I just think it's ridiculous to call it game-breaking when it's not.

just because im able to log in and play doesnt mean the game isnt broken. the abilities literally do NOT GO OFF.

It's only okay if you have no intention of running hard modes or ops or high end pvp.

 

Basically the limit of the game right now is LOTRO in space. You can have fun and progress but you're basically just RPing with a few people.

They didn't promise a fix this patch, but they did reassure us that at least some portion of the ability delay would be addressed this month (source). Since they haven't announced any other scheduled patches, many people assumed that the fix would be a part of 1.1.

Dodge, block etc interrupt your abilities. as a tank this get progressingly worse the better equipment you get (more defence and shield) and the more mobs you tank. Pretty serious bug really.

 

Not so bad for healers and dps, except in pvp that is.

ok how do you not understand this? im using an ability and its not going off. how is that playing this game? i cant progress forth in combat. the combat is quite literally broken. combat is part of this game, the central part. it is broken, the game is broken. it is game breaking. i cannot use abilities when I want to use them

 

but yes, you're right. i can continue to log in and pay them 15$ a month. so i guess everything is ok from that outlook

Its obviously a game breaking bug. Not being able to use your abilities in an mmo is game breaking.

So playing an MMO and you cant use abilities you are supposed to use to be able to kill enemies.... yer not game-breaking

I've never seen it like that ever. Sure I get the not behind target when I'm behind them but never like what you have there. I wouldn't play if it were like that.

 

Once the "follow" is fixed the combat thing will be I think. It has to be the same thing, right? Or that's the reason my guy can't follow for more than 3 seconds?

Classic example of vertical thinking. Just because you don't find this "game-breaking" doesn't mean others don't.

 

And for gods sake, "game-breaking" doesn't necessarily mean that you can't play the game at all.

 

When this happens for me in PvP and people run away from me before the bugged abilities decide to work, thus severely hampering me in battle, then this is completely breaking my game.
