SidisAxis
From what I can gather both from playing and reading , it seems like the biggest problem for pvp is faction balance. The easiest way to fix this is simple. Cross-server queue's for both war zones & ilum. This would solve the 4:1 / 5:1 ratio (or whatever it really is ) and by doing this you could farther bracket the war zones. (ie. 10-20 / 20-30 / etc.) I believe you could even then apply the level brackets for ilum. The fights would be maybe a bit smaller , but the FPS (lag) would most likely decrease also. I also believe that there should be diminishing returns on pvp kills (ie. after 10 kills of the same person you get 10 valor/kill ). I would also either decrease the valor earned or increase the valor needed /valor rank. ( this will make some people mad for sure , but getting full epic pvp gear in a month is not realistic). Of course there will be the power gamers that could still do it rather fast but the average person should at least take 3-4 months playing 3-4 hours /day in my opinion. I understand that a lot of this information was probably stated elsewhere already , but it was mostly titled with a "my sub is canceled" or a "bioware you f'd up" topic. This post is mainly to give productive support on a great game in the making. The most important think for bioware to remember is that there will always be the winners / complainers that has a problem with everything. These non-factors are in every mmo & always will be. Has long has we don't listin to them the game will be fine lol. Thanks for taking the time to read , have faith in bioware they make great games and for a company new to mmo's there doing a great job.
Dalnar
How would cross server queues help it ? When most servers are heavy imba towards empire ? 30:100 300:1000 3000:10000 = more huttball for empire if that happens.
SidisAxis
Cross server queues would help greatly , there are population caps of each war zone and each instance. For example if it's 100 people per side , with 4-5 server's groped together I would think that at least 100 republic would be no problem. Has for the empire , only 100 can get in the instance no matter wuhat for there faction so you would see more even battles for sure.
Daxramas
That just means more of the Empire players can play with more Empire. Ignoring Republic even more.
Kebabz
Tbh the quickest fix for warzones temporarely would be to fire Gabe, if they fire Gabe now, I would gladly play another month Edited January 20, 2012 by Kebabz
SidisAxis
That just means more of the Empire players can play with more Empire. Ignoring Republic even more. This makes zero since. If republic player que up you get to play , the other faction do not get a choice on who they want to play against.
SidisAxis
Tbh the quickest fix for warzones temporarely would be to fire Gabe, if they fire Gabe now, I would gladly play another month This is more or less a trolling post , to fire somebody for 1 mistake is kinda silly , if he would continue to make serious mistakes or would be unable to fix said mistakes that would be different. It's the trolls that ultimately make games bad they always whine about something and then they get what they ask for and figure out that it was a bad idea to complain in the 1st place. (ie: level 50 war zones ,lol like your wait times ?) although has stated cross server queing would help this problem.
