Solarflareuk Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 Im not being funny but even IF bioware dont improve the game and it just trundles along with a small community of a few hundred thousand people (this wont happen btw it will grow and get better with time) this game will be around for years to come. To put it in context, SWG was a great game until they made it too easy to become a jedi and then the game went downhill massively BUT it still lasted for 8 YEARS!! So if you honestly think this game is going anywhere soon your sadly mistaken so unless you want to spend the next 8 years of your life trolling these forums just Naff off and leave the people who want to play to play. Go back to playing wow or whatever it is that you think gives you the right to slate this game. Btw before you call me a fanboi i played wow since launch and simply got the point where guess what? it just wasnt fun anymore!! 7 years of playing to have developers give up and try to sell you WORLD OF KUNG FU PANDACRAFT! HA! Get a grip, if you think wow or any other mmo has a more interesting future ahead of it than this then i cant wait to see the smug smiles wiped off your faces in 6 months time when this game has had 3-4 content patches and you are still farming deathwing! good for you! He went a bit far but his underlying point is very valid. People throw around the word "dead" too much, they're too obsessed with subscriber count. Every time an MMO launches now you see the forums full of people saying it's dead, but you still see those games operating years and years later even if they only have a subscriber count of 50k or have adopted a free-to-play model. I genuinely believe a lot of people quit an MMO just because it doesn't have 12 million subscriptions when, in reality, all that matters is that the game is fun and receives enough profit to continue adding content.
