Some of us can't actually play the game after every patch. So to mirror your selfishness, go suck on a brick.

Selfish, Id say not, Im actually at work then so doesnt affect me. There will be a couple of hundred thousand (guessing numbers) of EU players that will miss out tho !

I care about the cummunity as a whole, surely its you with your single minded approach to 'your' problem that is being selfish ! ! !

:p

I am from UK (EU)

I Don't mind the Maintenance downtime its better than it was 2 weeks ago.

maintenance is in like 9mins...that's 8AM GMT

Dont you have School or somthing?

I'd probably recommend you start school, as reading is obviously an issue for you.

The maintenance was due to start 11am GMT but is now even worse:

UPDATE: This maintenance period is now scheduled to begin at 8AM CST (6AM PST/ 9AM EST/ 2PM GMT/ 3PM CET) on 1/19 and end at 12PM (noon) CST (10AM PST/ 1PM EST/ 6PM GMT/ 7PM CET). Please check this thread for further updates.

you do realise they are doing the patch fix asap, right?

of course it will affect people. but that's still better than having something broken in game...

Most stupid cliche reply!

Some people, like myself, do work in weekends and are home at weekdays, some people work at night, some people work from home.

Its not because you are 14 years old and should be at school that that goes up for the whole playerbase!

While this is an emergency fix, even the regular scheduled downtime seems to be every tuesday, which is my day off incidentally, and then the whole day until late in the afternoon.

It would be nice if the downtimes would at least rotate, so the US crowd sometimes got the effects of it and euros were unaffected. I do expect the euro player base to be quite numerous, so it would only seem good business.

Of course Patches will allways affect people.

The only thing we Euros would like is that the downtime affects other people every other time. All of the downtimes for patches have been in european middays.

And lots of people here came from SWG and one of the reason i quit there was that they ****ed europeans all the time (downtimes allways in european middays, higher subsciption in europe, quizzes with prizes only for americans, etc), so even 'just' 3-4 patches all in european midday raises a yellow flag for us.

As Pinkie Pie said: You gotta share, you gotta care.

I don't see the problem. The majority of the people will either be in school or at work and those that do not work and/or go to school are usually tweakers anyways who do most of their playing late at night.

I seriously wish they patched during my daytime, but instead, their patches usually start at 10pm my time (that is the regular 2am CST downtime), which is exactly my primetime. Don't act as if only Europe is getting all the bad hours.

edit: btw, just in case I'm getting a comment about my timezone: I might be living in the Pacific but it is still part of the US.

you care about the community.. lol and I do not want you representing me.

I think you just came here to troll and whine and ***** like a spoilt brat

Your incessant whining is what is wrong with the community.

like said Axl rose... "All we need it is just a little patience..". Im in CET and installed the game 2 days ago.. Never played yet cuz of my job and Maintenance time. This game is a newborn and for sure need and will need a huge downtime.

And for server time. I think the devs wanna check the success of the game. If there will be a constant and large fellowship to play TOR in Europe im sure in 1 year we'll have our (i mean european) server. Wow ha them but 7 years has passed from release. Aussies too usw

It's hardly midday, for a big part of europe, it's prime time.

I do agree that it's even worse for pacific, but the game is not officially out in your region yet.

They should really fix it though

Are you serious, 6PM right through to even 10pm for a big swathe of Europe and people will be at work or School ! PAY ATTENTION.

I'm not saying I agree with it, but it is one of the disadvantages of playing outside the US. Bioware has chosen not to have two different maintenance periods for the different regions, as many MMOs have done in the past. This is one of the hazards of that choice.

Ah but they also said they wouldnt be patching in Prime time for Europe either...

which I will not their original time frame for the patch actually followed to and didnt hit prime time.

We have separate EU and US servers do we not?

I don't see why the EU maintenance times can't be shifted to more mirror the US downtimes. Y'know, different downtimes for different regions?

Rift does it that way, and I'm not sure why BW can't do it that way.

True, at 7PM CET most of the europeans just came from work and have dinner, but lots of us are then already waiting 2 hours prime-time for playing this game.

Let us not forget 2 patches ago, when the downtime was extended 2 more hours and i couldn't play that day at all.

If this will become regular, it will kill half of the prime-time for us europeans, true, but let us not forget the people living even farther to the east.

For them, down-time will ALLWAYS completly during their prime time.

What is wrong about us europeans wanting a downtime-rotation? It's just fair.

And what does downtime all the time during europe-midday say about Bioware Europe? Does Austin want to say, that their european counter-parts are too stoopid to flip some switches?

P.S.: Checking if patches work, that's what the Test-server is for.

P.P.S.: Bioware! People on the Test-server waste their valuable time, so it would be wise to listen to them, before putting a bad patch on Live (we all know, that we only have another patch after a big patch, because you ****ed up something)

Getting over hearing Euros have a cry about server down time. Im from Australia and it is usually right at our peak time. I don't mind having a day off every now and again knowing that ToR is getting better.

Have the maturity to realise that if it was in US time they yanks would be carrying on like you lot, only there would be more.

Server downtime is set to that time to affect as least people as possible, suck it up and go take a day off.

And do you yet have a server base IN Australia ? Did they actually make a statement saying they wouldnt patch in your prime time ?

Right, 'cause the only way to solve issues is by shutting up. When you pay for a service as much as anyone else, you expect the same benefits.

Exactly it's about equality.

We all want our maintenance overnight which is true off peak time.
