8 Hours into the problem and no response? Seriously!!

So.. I sit at work all day watching the progress of the PvP issue in Ilum. Instantly I think everyone particpating in this needs to be banned for a few days minimum. Then I continue to watch as the DEVS do NOTHING. Seriously? Why is it that I now get home and these servers are still up?

Did you not take a backup and are afraid to tell everyone that you cannot revert back to pre patch 1.1 ? At 2:40pm a message is posted that an Official response is coming. Ummm we are working on 4 hours since then and no Official response still.

Someone please grow a pair and make the hard decision that should have been made IMMEDIATELY when this issue came to be discovered. There is no way this can be allowed as it will throw off the balance of everything in the game. Not just for PvP servers but also for PvE servers as well.

Get something done now!! Give an Official response now!! Fix this so that we are not continuing to waste our time playing when there is going to be a revert and lose what we are currenty working on!! You are only making the matter worst by allowing it to continue!!

You will be measured not only by the type of response to problems but ALSO the quickness in which you respond. Today you have earned a serious "Failure".

Check the dev tracker, they are investigating as it has been stated there.

Investigating is fine. That can be done on the test servers and should be done on the test servers. The production servers should have been brought down immediately with this big of an issue. You never continue to allow an exploit to grow like they have today.

My stance is one of indifference at this point but I am amazed at how fixes have not been rolled out yet. You would think 20 minutes after the patch goes live when people go umm this is broke, this is broke, this is weird, my screen keeps flashing either a black screen or the loading screen (it goes so fast I cannot tell sometimes).

pzzztrrrrrzzzttttWHAM.

What IS the hard decision?

And why should people get banned?

Productive post is productive.

Take the servers down - yes they'll get lashback, but at least it would have been during the day while most people are working. Get crackin' on some fixes. Don't say you're investigating the situation when your customers are essentially bug testing it for you already. Own up to it ASAP.

OR, don't take the servers down but tell your customers that you're actively working on correcting the Ilum exploitation and the load screen bug. At least share with us that you hear us.

Exploiters should either be rolled back or banned.

Because using a bug to exploit the game is against the terms of service. ALL MMOs operate this way and when the DEVS made their first post about this issue this morning they was quick to remind people about the ToS.

But... By allowing this continue for so long how can you possibly hold all the people accountable when they have allowed it to continue.

It's not a bug matey.

You may have missed this on the test server and so not your fault.

This was forseen on the test server. It was pointed out to Bioware that this Ilum change would result in people farming. Bioware took no notice. There is no bug involved. No exploit. No unintended mechanic.

It would be the equivalent of banning people who had slicing 'before' the slicing nerf. The Ilum situation needs to be addressed but it isn't a bug or exploit atm.

Agreed with OP, i was watching forums all day at work. Good thing i cancelled before they billed me for another month, it seems they have no idea what they are doing tbh

No, it's just you and half of the idiots playing this game that don't know what Bioware is doing and what they want to accomplish, GG go play something else.

You know what I don't understand, This patch was delayed because of some bad bug, but yet it still gets released with a bad bug. Do they test this?

I have cancelled as well. I am not gonna pay for a game whose developers are clueless when it comes to mmos. Shame on you Bioware. Go back to single player games seriously. You are great at single players rpgs but obviously have no idea about how mmos work. Edited by Rendekar

In all fairness, it was probably a good decision on your part. You were wasting too much time at work distracted by video games. Canceling your sub is good for your career.

This is a pretty big screw up, in spite of your dismissive reply. It's not the sort of thing you sit on for a few weeks and then fix. You may not like that people are responding to this, but it's apparently important that they do come out in droves - people were apparently aware of this on the test server, so it would seem that unless many people do make a stink nothing changes.

It doesn't make it a terrible game, it doesn't make the people posting about it "haters." If people really like this game, they should welcome any criticism it receives with thoughts of how to fix it. Being dismissive is part of the problem here.

Posting about it in the proper area of the forum would be a good start.

Posting in a constructive manner would be another good starting point.

Also stating Dev's have not said anything about it when there are multiple posts on the dev tracker about it is lying outright.
