Question about end mission bosses

Why can I not beat them? I have a level 40 Gunslinger that uses the Sharpshooter skill tree.. My gear seem to be good but could be better. I've tried changing out my companions but at the end, the only way I can ever beat them is if I ask for outside help.

I like my Gunslinger but this constant losing at the end of a long mission is very discouraging. It's also expensive. At this rate, I'll never be able to get my class 2 speeder license.

I have all of the companions except

the healer from Hoth(not sure if that's a spoiler or not)

.

Any help will be appreciated. If you want to say I suck well I already know that, move on.

If neither you nor your pet are healing based, then it’s a big disadvantage against the end bosses(imo).

Two things I have found to be helpful. Against melee bosses, a good bit of agro management, slow them then try and bounce them between you and your pet. If your lucky they spend more time running back a forth than hitting either of you.

Second is stuns and interrupts, most bosses I have come across have a big hitting skill, which is normally easy to spot when it’s about to be used. Stunning and interrupting these is key to lowering the overall dps the boss is capable of.

Happy gaming.

Smuggler/Gunslinger/Scoundrels get their healer last.

I use my 'pet' to initiate the fight then I try to get some distance from hem to avoid AOE damage. I try using my interrupts when I see a big attack coming and it works for a while.

Then the pet dies and I follow soon after. So far most of my bosses have ranged attacks missiles, grenades and fire.

sry, nothing really constructive to add but.... that's pretty crappy they get their healer that late. I started as a Healer (Sage) and my first companion was a tank, pretty OP imo. Even on the first planet i left at 11 got Sage class, went back with my 1 heal and solo'd the big robot champion near the end of the story missions. I mean promoting grouping is always a good thing but it should be semi-equal for all classes.. imo of course.
