This is the second time this week I have been screwed out of gear on end bosses. Tonight it was doing False Emperor HM for the first time with me being the tank, we get all the way through without much trouble, get him down to 15%, get in position by the pillars only to have him leap to someone else which put him out of position and of course then he sends me flying into the pit. A few seconds later he drops his shield and the others are able to knock him down and finish the instance Meanwhile of course thanks to genius Bioware programming I cannot re-enter the instance to loot the last chest or even get reward for the HM quest. Screw this. The same thing happened a few days ago after wiping on the final boss of Taral V right as we killed him, we got to all way there and watch the purple beam shoot up out of his body with the only option being to release and not be able to re-enter and loot the corpse I have no idea how something like this was overlooked but it needs to be fixed yesterday. I just start countdown as i know each time he'll randomly die by going from full to 0. Laugros Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 We wiped on HM The False Emp last night due to the fact that he wouldent get knocked down , (getting knocked to the ground instead) after standing trying to knock him down for a good 1.5 min every try with 3 ppl we gave it one last try, took him to 11% made him put the debuff on someone that would get focused , and during that duration we managed to kill him without him putting the immunity shield up. Poirot Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 I have no idea how something like this was overlooked but it needs to be fixed yesterday. Totally agree, there's no logical reason why some instances are designed to "lock" as soon as the final boss encounter is defeated (say like Boarding Party) while others can remain open (like Black Talon). In fact I cannot think of any reason that would lead to a "need" to lock down an instance even after completion. Heck if a player /group wants to screw around and muck about in an empty instance why not let them, will it really stress the dungeon servers that much? Look I love this game to death so it hurts me saying stuff like this but frankly the post 50 content as it currently stands is just so rife with bugs and idiotic design that calling it anything but a trainwreck in its current state would be delusional. Even more frustrating is this stuff has been reported constantly since people hit the level cap (I've sent in 3 separate tickets regarding Ilum quests and 2 separate tickets detailing two HM Revan bugs and so on and of course there's all the posts by numerous people on the forums) but nothing has happened. tehdonno Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 I got locked out of looting Soa, that wasn't very fun at all. Last boss in the game and we got nothing for it. All but one of us died, and the last one was stuck in combat and couldn't res us. We had to release and run back, but since the boss destroyed the floor we couldn't get to him without dying. Tower Posted January 17, 2012 Share Posted January 17, 2012 Had the locked chest occur in BP HM, and first "real" boss in Ilum, whos names escape me at the moment, (everyone but me died and I finished off the boss and the last 2 turrets) I also had the FE Emperor bug happen to me my first run thru, and of course he dropped the warrior chest that I was after.
